So if you guys run across one let me know, got around 5,000-6,000 to spend... just need it to be a 4x4, and prefer a manual.

Been searching craigslist/autotrader pretty heavily, nothing yet... but if someone runs across one let me know..

    Thanks, Anthony.

Consider a 3rd Gen 4-runner too! Good luck on finding a taco at that rate, around Houston.. the are significantly more $$ for the same Mileage condition because it has a pickup bed.

Yea tell me about it... I am looking just about everywhere in Texas and i can't find anything halfway decent... a 4runner is a possibility, but I ride bikes so a pickup bed is always nice.

I am moving up to Utah to go to school so I am looking for something to take with me.

    I drove this one..
    http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/1856273563.html

and it was so so, it was a farm truck so pretty beat up body wise, drove alright though.

Maybe looking into a 97 4x4 v8 Dakota now, but will see.

Pricey, definetely pricey.. you need to be 8-9k for what you are asking for in this area. Baker found a good one for you. If it is that 3.4L engine, they last forever... You will know instantly if it has been taken car of or not. Pay attention to the Tranny....

daily driver truck to take with me to Utah, going to check out this 4runner(though i would prefer a pickup to haul my bike around).

    http://houston.craigslist.org/ctd/1859707536.html

Also been looking at the 4.0 v6 rangers... a lot cheaper and they seem to have a decent reputation.

    How does this one look?

Sell you mine for 15k, a little more than your target price.

Good luck finding one. I am looking for a late 80's model for around 5-6K
