Hello guys I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Double Cab 4WD with a 4.0L and I'm trying to change out the leaf springs. I want something close to OEM without having to dish out all that cash. I will if need be. Anyone have experience with aftermarket leaf springs that work well? Currently one side is sagging really bad because I bought it with a broken leaf and now looking to replace both. What else would I need for installation besides the springs themselves? Bushings or anything? Can I lift the rear end without any new shocks or springs? Have any of you done this procedure and how hard is it? lol I live in Chicago so I have some rust to deal with. Thanks for reading

How about for free. ;) You should check and see if your truck is covered by the leaf spring re-call. There was a problem with a broken leaf potentially puncturing the fuel tank. The dealer just replaced the springs on my 2010 last week. Looks like there's an extra leaf too.

2010's involved in the recall for springs?

Yeah, mine was. I'd been putting off having all the recalls done, but they just did these last Friday...

I bought my 2011 TRD OR with a broken 3 leaf pack. 2011 wasn't covered under warranty so i found a set of nearly new 4 leaf pack springs on craigslist for cheap. Seems that in my area, there are almost always a pair or two of OEM 4 leafs on CL for a good deal. I got maybe 1/2" of lift out of them too

    Welcome to TacomaWorld TacoMan1265

I would definitely go to dealer service and take that broken leaf with you if you have it...
Ask if your truck leaf packs are in recall.

Thank you!!! They are under warranty! That's awesome and they're apparently gonna put some protective coating on it since my state has high corrosion. Thanks a lot for all your help guys!
