Perfect for patrolling those mall parking lots. Going to see about brackets to get the bar mounted to the fairing to help with whistle, and see how it is then. So far, so good.

Nice. You might try mounting those brackets underneath that forwar crossbar to get the light bar to sit in the cutout. But I’m just going off the eye test, and have no experience with that rack. Maybe @G.T. or @ChandlerDOOM can chime in.

Yeah, we tried a few different configurations, but nothing really brought it down to the cutout without being mounted on the fairing, but at the same time, I didn't really mess with bringing the fairing up off of the bottom position. Things to try!

Can’t recall if the Baja mounts went straight in or if we drilled holes to make it work.

Is that behind the grill? If so would you mind taking a pic of the mount:thumbsup: or explain what you did. Thanks

    Windrock talk...

Food. What the hell are we doing? I don’t want to see a bunch of money wasted with us duplicating efforts and I know we want all of the prep to be easy so we can ensure that we are still making use of the trails as much as possible.

The camper trailer can easily support three pots/pans going simultaneously and we have running water. We can even have hot water if we get the diesel water heater fired. I’ve got pots, pans, strainers, and a wok - not a fancy trash can lid - to cook and prep in so if you wanted to thin down your cookware for the trip keep that in mind. Plates, bowls, and utensils should support eight so keep your favorite camp utensils with you.

Big meals are fun but to be honest, easy to prepare and eat meals are ideal simply using the logic that we spent a considerable amount of energy to get there and if you're like me, you’re going to want to get out and play as often as you can. Also think about some trail snacks for times when we don’t get back to camp for lunchtime.

Wife got some shopping done last week, nothing crazy. I’ll marinate some chicken and prep it for grilling one of the nights. Don’t know what my brother has planned for his boys, but I’ll give him a call to get some feedback. Also my wife was telling me just to make sandwiches for lunch out on the trails, breakfast keep it simple eggs, breakfast sausage/bacon, tortillas possibly. Just ideas, so open to any other suggestions.

Cool trick for breakfast eggs if you like to scramble. Dig out an old drink mix bottle with a wire whisk ball. Crack your eggs in in and simply shake it up and then drop in the fridge or cooler and shake it again over the pan when ready to cook. Pour out what you need. Easy as, and make cleanup a bit easier.
