I know this is the wrong place to ask but you guys are very knowledgeable. Does anyone happen to know if the 2020 4runner will have full speed range adaptive cruise control or if it will cut out at 25mph like our Tacoma’s?

I haven't been paying attention, but a quick Google search says TSS-P in the 4runner which is what we have on the Tacoma. TSS 2.0 is in the newest Rav4 and it is full speed.

I like the changes they have made and I look forward to see a 2020, but since my plan is a new truck around 2022, I will just keep watching for now

Forgive me if this is a stupid question but will the snorkel/side air intake on the PRO be optional? I hate the look of it.

I would assume it would stay as an option as it is now.

It's not an option in Canada. It comes standard on the 2019, which is reason for me to skip the 2019 (and probably the 2020) TRD Pro.

I checked with a local dealer today and you can't even order the 2020 when it becomes available. Apparently the dealers are allocated the PRO's and that's it, you get the option of purchasing whatever trucks they get. This particular dealer is anticipating only 2! I don't even think the 2019 comes with the JBL sound system in Canada which is ridiculous, hopefully it's standard on the 2020 here, I'd like to get my hands on one of these trucks if they aren't marked up too much over MSRP.

Yes, from what I understand, Pro's in Canada are unicorns and get allocated by Toyota Canada. The dealer doesn't even get a say in colour. My dealer has two in stock, one black '18 and one white '19. The only difference I see between these two is the standard Desert Air Intake, which imo is a ridiculous poser addition, I hate it. There are some other minor changes that are not worth mentioning like USB ports and cubby in bed I think.

I am waiting for the 2020 now and skip the Pro altogether if the bro pipe comes standard on that one too. If so I will be opting for a 2020 TRD Off Road.
I am not sure what Toyota Canada is thinking with neutering their Tacoma offerings. You would expect at least the same packages as the US, but this is not the case. No leather upgrade unless you choose a Sport, no Long box is some configurations, limited paint colours. It's a mess and I have no idea why. My reason for choosing a 2020 is the CarPlay head unit, seat hight adjustment and (if available) the led headlights. I will be keeping the truck for a long time so waiting a couple of months to get what I want is not the end of the world.

Just an FYI.. it is my understanding that LED headlights in general have tendency to ice in cold snow/icy conditions. Dunno if there is a headlight warmer accessory or something to help prevent this.

You may not want to go with LED headlights in Canada as rumor has it you folks get a fair amount of below freezing temps and precipitation.

If Canadian Tacoma's are so different will they even offer the power seats and different head unit?

Yes, you are right. I was just reading up on this.

I don't think Canadian Tacoma's are very different, but our choices are severely limited. And at this point, Canadians honestly have no idea what the 2020 will offer. I can't imagine the factory would go out of their way to install different (and lesser) seats and head units just for Canada. They didn't with the current line and Entune radio is pretty much useless here. They couldn't even be bothered showing off 2020's at the Toronto auto show last week.

Halogens don't melt snow at least on my 18, still get's covered with ice...

Toyota Canada offerings is a mess, but we got the best/true Tacoma option that Americans can't have ACLB MT Off-Road combo with rear locker:dancingbacon:

I have LED on my GX470 and live in the mountains, never have problems with snow, but I do wax my headlights. I would think that the tacoma's, expect for early first gen, dont really have a place for the snow to build up, keep them waxed and I think they would be good.
