Of course but not bad at all (maybe a 2500 dollar swing), gotta give credit to the taco for having fantastic resale. I mitigated the loss by getting aggressive on the price of the GX so it was a fairly lateral move for me.

Hoping you get it worked out so you don't have to go down the same road though, for me it wasn't even a decision once I test drove the GX.

I would suggest trying to work it out first though if you are concerned with money loss, I wasn't concerned with losing money as much as getting a DD that didn't have issues.

Ironic that I had to dip into the pre-owned market to do that (had multiple issues with Jeep, F150, and Taco all purchased new).

People tout a warranty but the money in repairs isn't the annoying part for me, the annoying part is running back and forth stuck with one set of mechanics at a dealership. I like the freedom to go to my preferred mechanic who I trust and will let me walk under the car to show me things etc.. fuck working with a Service Advisor... they don't know dick.

I’m in the same boat. Went to another dealership today and found this beautiful AND it’s a 4-wheel drive. It’s 41K with 8K off bc it’s a 2018 anniversary model, but it only has 68 miles on it and most of that was me test driving it. If Toyota don’t fix my problem Tuesday, I’m saving the lawyers fee and dumping it.

I HAD a vibration at those speeds until the dealer removed the steering wheel during my computer replacement. The said they needed to check EVERY electrical connection on the Tacoma. After replacing the steering wheel back, I now have a much less vibration at about 3k rpm in any gear. It goes away at a slower RPM. This makes me think the vibration is caused by the fit of the steering wheel its self. I can live with it. 90% of my trucks miles are put on at 2k rpm. Hope this helps. Mine is 2019 sport

Mine is filled with brunettes but yeah the ladies love it , almost as big of a turn on to them as plastic bed truck built in Mexico with manual seats lol

The irony in it is although it’s a mommy car , it has a locking diff (most Tacoma’s don’t), a real engine not that pussball 3.5 from the Highlander, and was built in Japan.

Heres a fun data point.....hauled a bunch of stuff yesterday and the added weight in the bed seemed to help get rid of or greatly reduce vibrations.

I have a week old ‘19 pro. I had it out this morning and due to the thread, was looking for vibration during braking / acceleration. I noticed neither

I wonder if the added weight in the bed changes the pinion angle just enough to reduce vibes ? Interesting . I gotta try this

Let's hope the Colorado is not as troublesome as a Mercedes.

Nothing wrong with driving "mommy car", as long as you're happy with it.

Damn, should have have identified the downfall during your test drive. I would however like to see you get a lawyer and fight Toyota, for my own entertainment.

Nice truck but what about a price comparison. My 19 sport was $39k 4dr auto. That looks like much more .

It was originally I bought it with 18k on the clock so put it in the 42k range ... same as my loaded off-road premium. Basically I took a 18k miles deprecation to trade equally as I deemed 18k on the 4.6 1UR barely broken in . Same dealership had a 2010 with 130k for 23,000 so no doubt it will go that distance. There are 350k motors on the Lexus forums so this should go the distance. The truck as a whole is an ancient design so it allowed me to take advantage of everything I like about Toyota reliability and longevity, came without the safety features that I personally deem unnecessary and irritating, and met my needs.

I don’t have any hate for the Taco quite the opposite although I would have preferred a different first time owner experience.

Just did my first mod added crawl control module it only cost 400 bucks for the console switch and a zero point cal, not bad for a Lexus. The biggest cost difference will come in premium fuel at 15mpg combined but I’ll deal with it for the comfort and power.

Once again wish the best for everyone experiencing issues with their new rig and hoping for a swift and pain free resolution for all.

Glad to stay in the Toyota family ultimately and not butthurt by any part of the experience.
