@Theicemedic has the Dakar medium duty with bed rack and hc bumper.

I haven't heard him have any issues.

    New sticker day

Now I can show it off at the mall :headbang:

Also been thinking and instead of super lifting my truck and throwing big ass tires on it I’m just gonna drive it as is and start doing maintenance that I’m sure has been neglected like front and rear diffs, transfer case, trans, new radiator/coolant, trans cooler, front end stuff like UBJ, LBJ, steering stuff, bushings (hopefully figure out my dumb ass LCA and cam bolts). I want the truck to be in good condition for when I make the move up to TBay.

If I do get tires I’m probably going to go 33x10.5 and put them back on the stock 16’s so I can get rid of the stupid spacers. And I might do new shocks all around but just shocks, keep it level like right now.

Need to figure out my exhaust P0420 code too, might need some new components from headers back because it looks like the underside of a 90s dodge around the o2 sensors. Also my rear diff lock... STILL...

Might hold me back from doing some tougher trails but I’d prefer to keep her nice so that I can continue trucking in the old girl for as long as possible.

I had the Dakar HDs. Didn't mind the stiffer ride. Then I put a home made 200lb steel rear bumper on, which did improve the ride.

I used the box regularly for rock, soil, mulch, building materials, bikes, etc regularly and had to tighten my bed bolts regularly as well. At it's loosest, I could pick up the right front corner of the box and rattle it against the frame...

My box was like that until they fixed my frame and welded in new recessed nuts on the bed, now I could take it off a sweet jump and that baby is solid... in the rear at least :anonymous:

First thing that popped up with google.
P0420 code stands for “Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1).” When you receive aP0420 code it means your catalytic converter is not operating at maximum efficiency. Usually this means your catalytic converter needs to be replaced or there is a problem with your O2 (oxygen) sensors.

My mechanic told me it was my air/fuel ratio sensor not doing its job and being a lazy bum. He said the cats are most likely fine but it’s so rusty under there that the sensor bolts will likely break and it’ll be a $1600 job to replace everything beyond that. So I have left it for now, it’s been addressed just not acted upon lol. I’ll get to it this summer, the truck runs fine its just annoying having to stare at the orange glow coming from the bottom right of my dash.

Thing with most of the trails we'd be doing is there's bypasses where you could go . So having a lot not built up shouldn't be that big of a problem.

There's no reason why you couldn't do South and North trail of Ardbeg. When we did it as a group majority of the guys were stock.
