Thanks for your reply, Tom. I put some 265/75-16 tires on for a while, and the weight was a bit much for my little pony. I do want 32" tires, though, hence the pizza-cutter thoughts. I read the various articles on skinnys here on TW, lots of pros & cons.

I'm still at the plant; they plan to close it on 12/31/2019, and I'm hoping to stay on as long as possible. I've stayed quite busy there, got moved to a different program to fill a gap; I'm OK with that.

I've used a carpet cleaner furniture attachment with good success on my old truck. You can start with water and go to using a spray or add carpet cleaner if that doesn't take it out sufficiently. Let me know if you don't have one handy and you can drop by and use mine here at the house. Shouldn't take long. Bring a towel in case the seat ends up damp.

I went from 265/75/16 to 255/85/16 and very happy with the change. Both sets were/are Cooper ST Maxx. I've read all the articles on fat vs skinny and and have not noticed any negatives.

The 265/75/16 went onto a 94 Toyota Pickup and found it handles better than the original 235/75/15 combo.

Thanks for your input. I can't fit a 33" tire on my truck, and would need to re-gear for that as well. I'll probably just go with the 265/75-16. The Cooper tires look good on paper and have good test reviews; I may go that route.

So, 1st-gen rear bumpers. I want a wraparound rear, leaning towards plate rather than tube. The Relentless Fab one looks very nice, costs a bunch and then there's shipping on top. I also see NWTI makes a kit that requires welding together, should cost less to ship; I'm considering this, but I don't weld. Does anyone on here like to weld & want to make a few hundred $ doing so? :spending: :dancingbacon: :turtleride:

Had an easy day today so I figured I would kill some time drinking a messing with the truck. Put on my 235/85 to check it out, looks ok, skinny but practical. I really like the steelies so let me know what ya got or see for sale, I just need two maybe theee if I want my spare to match. Also checked out my suspension and the rear shocks are pushed down with minimal effort with one hand so they're shot. Fronts were flaking off rust. Debating between boss 2.5 extended travel remote resivor or ome bp51. I have all pro expo in the rear and I think the boss will be better since I don't have Dakar leafs.

With that kind of rust check your ball joints upper and lower as well as LCA bushings. Looks surface, but a cracked coil is no good!!! I'd say get some shocks asap!!

Indeed. I have light racing uca that did not hold up to the salt in NC. I need to get the sand blasted and re powder coated before I get it all redone. I also need to sandblast and paint my leafs, they are pretty rusty as well. Fuck salt lol

I just ordered the fox 2.5 non res extended travel coil overs and 2.0 remote res rear shocks. Should be delivered by Wednesday. I'd be more then happy to give you a ride some time after they are installed to see if you might like them.
