Looking at the bracket/actuator pictures that kjhadfield posted and comparing those to the pics of Katie's actuator from post #1, I don't believe you could use a clone of the Pop&Lock bracket with Katie's actuator, even if it were possible to 3D print one. Katie's actuator appears physically different, and would have to mount differently.

    UPDATE:

Harnesses are still on schedule for this week. Here are some pics and everything looks great. Minor change is that I will be having the harnesses wrapped in tesa tape... which some may actually prefer. Tesa Tape is usually spchosen for OEM Harnesses.

Its only 2 tiny holes to mount the actuator. It's hardly worth finding a way to mount it without drilling. Drill 2 holes and enjoy your pop n lock.

Hey Katie. How about making a new camera harness with the 2 wires for the actuator in it? Then it can just be installed in place of the factory harness. No cutting involved...

That would drive cost up. The OEM plugs are the biggest cost. Notice the two OEM plugs and a little wire is 45 vs the whole thing at 65

Some will pay to have it made rather than cutting open the harness. Then it can always be put back to stock easily too. Just a thought.

So, I have a couple questions. I'm sure I could find the answers in the thread, I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly.

The harness is for the Pop & Lock tailgate lock, and it keeps you from having to splice into wires on the truck?

Is the full-kit the harness and a power tailgate lock (OP's not the Pop & Lock brand)?

Pros/Cons of the Pop & Lock brand and OP's full kit?

    Thanks!

So the full kit provides everything required?
