I'd sandblast or sand spots to metal and spray white vinegar on the bare metal.

I’ve got the black overlays but waiting for better weather. I couldn’t take them off cuz of not having use of my dead surgery arm. Think I could do it now... maybe.

It’s a mix between being bald, and shaving it for work! Lol

 

It was shoulder so that was wrapped and was in a brace/sling for almost 3 months. Working on getting mobility first... not totally there... then will be strength. I’m 5 months post op next week.
