Have you tried CarMax? They are kinda all over the place. They offered about $1000 less than I wanted for my old truck but then they offered close to $3000 more then we wanted for my GFs old GTI. So idk maybe worth a shot and only took them 15/20 min.

What are you looking to get for the GX? That’s a pretty sweet rig.

Hello everyone, I have a question and I am hoping you all can expand my knowledge. I have a 2012 Tacoma with 153k and since I bought it 4 months ago the Temp Needle has remained in this spot ( see picture) is it too hot ? I am concerned about head gasket issues because I was informed by a fellow Tacoma owner this can pleague these trucks . Am I just freaking out for nothing? I don't see coolant and oil mixing but I could be just seeing nothing. When I took it to the dealership for a pre purchase inspection no red flags were found. What are your thoughts on this?

I think that’s a pretty normal spot for the needle to be. I just got home from work about 20 min ago so truck was still warm.

haven't decided yet, I need 4 wheel drive to get me to late April or May, so I am looking around that time frame. I am guessing I will sell with bumpers, rock rails, skids, suspension, but I am keeping the ARB fridge & compressor and Warn Winch & 4Runner wheels.
Front Demello bumper with hoop added, Metaltech rear bumper with fuel carriers and tire carrier, Radflo 2.5 shock all around, with Metaltech setup (includes upper & lower adjustable rear trailing arms, SPC upper control arms), 650-800lbs Dobinson rear springs, RCI full skid plates and rock rails, added power outlets to rear seat and rear cargo area. LED low & high beams, oversize battery and extra fuse box, Alpine 8200NEX head unit and more

it has been a great truck, taken me on many trip and all the way to the Arctic Ocean and back

I put in a "Scan Gauge", to give me accurate temps. for the GX the temp gauge gets to the middle and stays there, my scan gauge read a 30-40 deg difference, the scan gauge also gives me trans temps

Haha ya man not bad for an 8 year old truck. I really couldn’t pass it up when I found it.

I only have 83k on mine, I guess fairly low for 10 years old. I bought mine brand new back in '09.

About 190K, Not really sure, maybe around 18K
Timing belt done at 149K, oil changes every 5-6k, Cooper STMaxx 255/80/17 with about 60% tread life, transmission flush and complete service also around 149k before I went to Arctic Ocean and Alaska. I keep a record of the service done.

So when I bought my truck back in late December it came with some Toyota Care Plan that I guess the previous owner had purchased and was transferred over to me. I was a little skeptical that it would actually work but I took my truck in the other day for the 35,000 services and wouldn't you know it was true.

Anyway got the basic stuff done an oil change, tire rotation, fluid top off, and at the end of the visit the tech gave me some recommend services to get done next time. Prices seem a little crazy considering these are all things you can do yourself fairly easy. Are they really charging $175 for a tech to run a can of seafoam? What is the air conditioning system refresh service? Am I missing something?!

Also how often do you guys do these flushes? I honestly don't think I've ever changed the power steering fluid in any vehicle I've had not sure how bad that is haha.
