I love those privacy tents, however I am not happy the price tag of them.

Yup, cool design, but the overland price tag. I can understand on the Alucab awnings as they are well engineered, but Christ that’s pricey to have a shower. I’ll just gear down like I have been and use a simple shower or wet nap. I’ve got a Nemo shower stall, great, but it’s a pain to setup by yourself and only worth it if base camping for a few days.

Or just don’t camp by anyone you wouldn’t want to see you naked.

I can understand if you’re out with your family or at a campground, but if it’s just you and a partner in the middle of nowhere never saw a reason to be modest.

Agreed, I got my memo on sale for cheap, I now know why it was so cheap. Great quality and well thought out, erecting no so much. A buddy of mine I’ve has this one you basically toss out and it unfolds. No idea where he got it and he cannot remember either a sit had been a few years.

Anyone mount a 270 degree awning? I am thinking this latch needs to be moved to the rear.

Your latch definitely needs to be moved. This is my old Aluc Cab Mount

Good to know about the latch location! Trying to decide between a 270 awn or just a rear awn before my build starts.

Leibbrand looks like your Drifter is powder coated? Can you share some more pics? Trying to decide between all white or possibly a mix top and bottom colors.

Interested in seeing any pics folks have of their Drifters that have been powder coated.

Agree the black looks great. Does it get really hot in the summer?

Thanks for input. I wasn't sure if it was unique to my awning. Figured I'd better double check before I started making holes. Iggy/Phil did get back to me with the recommendation on how to move the latch.

Mine is wrapped. I would not recommend wrapping it based on the cost alone and would look to paint or PC option. I think paint would be competitive or PC for what it takes to wrap one of these.[/QUOTE]

Not sure yet - I just picked mine up two weeks ago. The roof is insulated and I got the fan option. Beyond that, I plan on adding insulation to the sides as well.

I like the mounts you guys did for my Alucab, sleek holds it close to the the frame/drifter body. I just wish the damn weather here was cooperating more to get out. That coupled with moving to Edmonton in 10 days has really stopped all outings at the moment.

What’s the cost to get one of these wrapped? I am seeing a lot of alum corrosion, really just tarnish, but would like to get it wrapped.

Other option is I may mirror polish it like an airstream for shits and giggles, think we talked about that earlier in this thread, it won’t last long as a mirror polish, but think it would be a good experiment, haha.

I'm kind of digging the all black!

I dunno, I got mine wrapped and I was happy with the cost of it. Then again I wish Powder Coating was an option when I purchased my Drifter as I would've Powder Coated it for sure.

I paid $600 for my wrap.

EDIT: $800, not 6, not sure why I was thinking 6.
