What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Installed an aFe Magnum FORCE Stage-2 Si Cold Air Intake and replaced my ECM with a new one tuned by OVTune (bought from 05Taco4x4 thanks again brother).

You can do it. Be careful with the little round push button plug. It breaks easily. The rest is simple.

Nothing impressive - just happiness in parts! Truck is slowly getting to 200K, so spacing out to make affordable!
I'm the 4th owner - since 190K, 9/17.
Toyota service changed rear diff fluids! Never done.
Rear brake shoes solved the pedal to the floor issue - actually found also never done! Stops like a dream!
Favorite TTC Shop replaced all front end joints except tie rods (sent the wrong part to me, will be done Sunday), top and bottom balls joints, stabilizers, rides like a dream!

 

Added 17inch Steelies and washed it!

 

I need to find and pay someone close to me to do my dash lights. I am skeeered to do it.

 

That clear cover over the air filter is cool. Haven't seen that before and will be adding it to my to do list. Thanks!

You probably have heard this before but in case you have not, there is a different door seal that can be installed to get rid of that noise. I had mine replaced and it solved that wind kazoo noise 100%.

replaced both front weatherstrips with part #67861-04062 & 67862-04062..

 

Thanks for this! My seals are shot and the wind noise is annoying.

 

Have you measure the output from the solar panels? I think I have the same as the one on the right and wonder how much the shading from the rack affects the output.

 

Glad I could help. The noise was driving me crazy too and the service dept at my dealership was no help until I finally got the right guy and he knew exactly what I was talking about. I have not had a single noise since these were installed.

2 bolts, one on each side of the bracket. Kind of a pain in the ass but its possible for 1 person to do it.

If you DIY try to keep it as wide and as much contact with the floor to keep it from con-caving the floor under it.
