A lot of people are scared to be drilling into their cars. When you take off the stock brake light there are 2 bolts holding along with the factory sealant. If Evil Manufacturing wanted to make this an OEM replacement, I bet they could but would have to redesign the whole product.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MINE!! There are conversations to be had about the differences in design. Especially when your talking about a @mesojdm custom piece. I absolutely wish I could’ve gotten ahold of one:gossip: and will probably send him every dollar I have for other stuff:rofl:

Anyway like I said I love my Dirt Kartel.
Oh and I’m feelin ya on the blue and amber chase lights.

Agreed, those welds are ROUGH. Literally the first thing my eyes were drawn to. It's honestly really hard to make a weld look bad after it's been finished. Bummer cause it looks cool!

Edit: I have absolutely not doubt if Doug had any clue someone wasn’t happy he would do everything he could to make it right. Fantastic guy to deal with.

Like at that point why Tig? Might as well mig and save that headache. Tig on some old aluminum till you can get consistent beads then practice more on steel.

Like the concept much. The execution, not so much.

Would love to be able to put an S2 up in that area as a work scene / area light while still retaining some lower intensity bed lights and brake light. Just not loving this solution, especially with having to drill into the cab.

I do like the concept. I would like to just delete the 3rd brake light and have a good area light for the bed. I've looked at building something similar to what meso makes but with only white lights aimed at the bed.

Make sure to perform an impeccable welding if you choose to make them out of metal, otherwise prepare for people to bury you with horse sh!t. Lol:rofl:

I'm okay with some booger welds if I'm making it myself. I'm not okay with booger welds if I'm buying it from a shop who's specialty is making parts. Difference is that I'm a hobbyist welder and not commercially selling a product.

I made my own sliders and bed rack. Welds aren't perfect but they're mine and not someone's who sold them to me. However, for that part you bought, nothing is structural so even bad welds will still be plenty strong. Welding thinner stuff is harder than thicker material since it burns through easier and warps easier.
