March 2019 Seattle-Area Meet

Are you guys trying to go friday after work? I know a decent trail in Skykomish. I imagine snowy trails are fairly packed down by now?

 

I'd be down for a meet/greet at like a pub or bar if no trails work out, due to snow or other weather conditions.

 

Was thinking an all day run. Usually I don't, but thanks to the snow I've got Friday off.

 

It's a ways for some if you, but whose familiar with the darrington area?

 

Im fairly familiar, grew up in Arlington.
Im hoping to get out sunday depending on work load.

 

I have family in town this weekend but they usually leave around noon on Sundays , so I may be in on getting out there.

 

Alright, I haven't been up there since the snow so we might be more scouting but i definitely know a few places.

What kind of setup are you running? Winch?

 

Nah, still a simple man; 33"s and a lift

 

No worries, I'm in the same boat. I got an air pump also for airing down. I got straps and a come along worst case.
Any chance you got a pair of walkie talkies? Otherwise I might go pick up a set today

 

I do. I have a snatch strap and recovery boards as well.

Anyone get out and do anything this weekend? Kind of last minute but we headed up to the Sauk River, but was a little bit too sketchy for me to feel comfortable going by ourselves to get to the spot on the River we wanted to end up, so we just went up a little further to Baker Lake, was quiet up there for a change. Did see a couple 3rd gen Tacos up there.

 

Late start for me. Tried to do Blanchard mountain but found the road was closed when I got there, so we played tourist on highway 11. Where's the Sauk trailhead?

 

Went up pilchuck, pulled out a couple jeeps and made it past the second gate before falling through to the frame. 8hrs to get out since no one else could make it up that far....
Time for a winch and maxtraxs! And no more solo trips lol

Thats using the stock bumper right? Doing a angled/sideways pull, does it want to rip the bumper off?

 

I havent had an issue yet! But the company I got mine through is out of business, and I think they’re the only ones who used the stock bumper. Most of the ones I’ve seen for sale now replace the black part of the bumper
