    For the last 4-6 months I’ve been telling my fiancé I’m going to get an automatic car next fall and retire the 2005 Tacoma to burnouts and hauling off trash, it’s currently my daily. Since considering doing an A340 conversion (3.95:1 1st gear and aging knee) I’ve entertained keep driving the truck and put off the car. So I mentioned this to her tonight. First question was how much, I told her about $1500. She replied, she felt I keep putting money in the truck to make it how I want and, to her, never satisfied with it so why don’t I just sell it and get a new one :eek:... one that is exactly the way I want.
    I’ve got a great opportunity to get a new truck and it be HER IDEA.
    BUT , here’s the trick, if I do any heavy modding she gets to complain that I was to get EXACTLY what I wanted. I think that is her plan of getting me to stop modding lol. Little does she know a new ride is a blank canvas! I think this is where the separation of sexes begin- she doesn’t understand I have a relationship with my truck and I like to do nice things for it, much the same I like to do nice things for here... it makes me happy.
    I can’t fathom letting this truck go so soon after boosting it, the whole point of it was to make it bearable going up hills- to keep driving the thing

    It's the same for me with my 5 lug. I could sell it and get something more of what I want but I wouldn't be happy and would probably mod the crap out of it as well. I do have a stopping ish point coming up soon but it's only because 4x4 conversion will take a while and I need to focus a few other life things

    A thing or two...
    I'm running the LCE catback on my truck. It's 2.5" piping. It was loud AF when I installed it and had a 12" resonator installed between the cat and muffler which did the trick. It's still on the louder side but doesn't drone like it did, and I can drive it without getting a headache.

    If you want to go with 3" pipe, it's going to be a custom job.

    Didn't specific which engine, before. :p

    Well......what is the outlet size of the turbo?

    Do the smaller Evo and Subi engines use 2.5" or 3" when upgrading? 3".

    Flow requirements are different from sound dampening.

    My outlet is 4" lol, I step down to 3" and put a disconnect after the flex. I then step down to meet stock exhaust, I believe it is mm equivalent to 2-3/8". I'm not going through that work/money for just 1/8" more though.

    I bet that exhaust is coming out with some massive speed!

    Interesting about the outlet diameter of your turbo. What is it's max power rating?

    Mine is 1k HP, but has a 3" outlet.
