If there was an easy way for me to get a proper tune with a real computer and have it installed with my EGR setup I would have it done tomorrow. I have to keep the EGR setup for emissions.
I don’t know if a piggy back setup is right or not for me. I see plenty of people with issues and then
others without. What I have (setup) has been working perfectly for 100s of thousands of miles.
But I know the stock computer sucks and keeps the truck in closed loop 90 percent of the time
    among other things.
50 more horses would be amazing with a supercharger.

Turbo is NOT a road I want to go down.
I need the reliability of driving 30-40k a year with out problems.

New I'd probably look for a local speedshop that deals in Magnuson supercharger kits. Or as much I don't like to recommend them anymore, LCE because they'll sell you a full kit with the 7th injector and a tune. Even URD has the full kit in stock again. Other wise wait around here for someone to sell theirs they come up for sale regularly and go in an instant.

I ordered the Magnuson plus 7th kit last week from URD. Also ordered innovate boost/afr and water temp/voltage gauges, 2.2 sc and urd crank pulleys. My truck is an 01 with just over 100k miles. I have 93oct readily available here in south Texas but it does get hot. Our winters are hot. If it pings I’ll add some torco and a tuner. My last two toys were a 731whp cobra and just recently sold a 600+whp na z06. So this thing is slow. Damn slow. My brother laughs at me when I attempt to pass someone on a one lane rd. It’ll be slow after the sc install too but at least I won’t get laughed at. It will be worth it.

Methanol kits are great in the heat and can help with the fueling as well if you're willing to tune

Yes sir thank you. I have zero experience with meth inj. The 7th inj should do damn near the same thing but better when you think about it. The truck is far from daily driven so I’ll worry about that when the time comes. So to OP it can get pretty expensive. You should budget another g in case you either have issues or just want to add something more. I’m in to it about 4400 so far. I’m sure that’s going to go up once I start installing. That’s another thing, you better be able to install everything yourself. If not add another 500-1k.

The 7th doesn't do much to cool the intake. URD claims that it does but my intake temps get up to 140 degrees in the summer time when it's hot out even with the 7th. Methanol is much better for cooling. For the price and for the functionality I think a meth injection kit is a far better way to go, I would have done that myself if I had been smarter about it when I bought the 7th injector.

If you already have the URD kit though then I'd install that and if you still have issues with heat or pinging then consider adding meth, or tuning the 7th better.

Cool I’ll have to keep an eye on that. by the time I get all this installed and ironed out it’s going to be hot here in south Tx. Regards

I’m assuming there aren’t any meth kits that are CARB compliant, because why would they

Nope, and the URD 7th kit isn't CARB compliant either...I passed my regular smog checkup a couple years ago with it on though. But I have the stricter STAR test coming up this year so I'm a little worried about that

I wish the 4 cyl supercharger had an intercooler set up then I could run a ice tank , that would definitely keep IAT's way down to safe limits !!!!

Last year I had the Star test on mine and i was worried about the visual inspection I've got CARB 50 State legal decals on the firewall for the TRD supercharger , K&N CAI and Doug Thorley Shorty Tri y header

Passed with no issues even got a compliment from the tech doing the inspection !!!!

I have those stickers for everything except the 7th injector kit, since it isn't CARB unfortunately. I'm worried about the visual since it is pretty easy to spot if you know what the stock setup is supposed to look like. I wrapped the braided fuel line for it in electrical tape though so it sort of blends in with the other vacuum lines now, but if you have a keen eye for the stock look you can still spot it pretty easily.

I'd wrap the AN line with heat sleeving then cover with convoluted wrap and make it look factory appearance

I’m in TX don’t have to worry too much about passing inspection. I do have to worry about iat’s. On my cobra with factory sc iats over 150 triggered ecu to pull timing.

US Marine did you notice a difference with the headers? Curious on your exhaust set up and sound. Thanks
