I highly recommend the resonated "XL" version. Unless you want full noise.

I'm planning a high flow cat with as big as a resonator they can fit up to some exhaust.

 

Now I'm looking at pairing it with their Aero Exhaust Resonator - AR30

Recomend the Black Widow Venom 300 (3") or 250 (2.5").

Would recomend a resonator as it tends to drone at certain RPM's. Drone is pretty high at high idle but I like it on the highway and its pretty quite in the city too.

I'm running the 300 with 3" exhaust.

I fucked up
Just gave my turbo a reason to leak now. I pushed the exhaust side all the way in by hand and must have pushed it back out while I was putting the compressor on, then I tightened the nut... The seal wasn't in place and gouged both the housing and turbine shaft. Not sure I have any faith in it sealing now

Shit son.

 

Just about all the aftermarket exhausts for my WRX are 3" for the primary tube. When it splits to the two mufflers, some stay at 3" and some step down (but the cross sectional area of the two smaller pipes is about the same as the primary).

 

I could weld my own exhaust but don’t know where to source the cat back part that goes over the axle, you guys know any sources?

 

What do you mean? Just the bent section from the muffler to the tailpipe? Think you'd just have to bend it up yourself or piece it together from pre-bent sections.

 

i pieced mine together with some 45s and a straight piece of 2.5" exaust pipe. I was ignorant and didnt know the difference between mandrel vs crush bent and used crushed bent. Mandrel is better. Now that im happy with the routing ill probably take it somewhere someday to have it bent all as one piece. Until then what ive got works.

I believe that section is called "exhaust tailpipe", I'm getting results searching for that phrase

 

Just buy some mandrel bends in the diameter and bend radius you are looking for. Depends on how nice or low cost you want to go. Just butt weld the bends to some straight pipe

Is CARB Compliance specific to particular vehicles- would MagnaFlow 334009 be legal on my 2005 Tacoma?

 

If you are looking for a ca cat got to use the one called out for your year make model and engine size

 

So how did the manifold/turbo/downpipe end up lining up with the stock exhaust?
