I never even hit my bumps in the rear unless rock crawling at slow speeds, so I don't need a soft cushion. I just want them there to protect my shocks. It also helps measurements because you don't need to take compression into account (well, a teeny bit). They're pretty hard bumps.

yasss. They're so shiny and sexy. Buy is as a present to yourself when you close on the new house. In fact, roll it into the negotiations with the seller lol

Supposed to be getting my brother's 12" RR Kongs when he jumps to 14's but that is taking so long for him to get to a welder

Why's he need a welder to make the jump?

Wait I vaguely remember, he's going Ferd towers with 14" 2.0 Kongs.

I think he's holding out for the local guy that does everything with a plasma cutter. Still will suck but a lot less than an death wheel

How is your shock staying compressed with no zipties or strap or anything mine want to extend when I take the strap off.

If you know how to gouge the welds with a plasma it isn't that bad. Plasma cutters make a world of difference

They’re not charged right now. Getting that done Thursday

At first I was annoyed I’d have to charge them but honestly it made getting everything fit up and taking measurements so much easier.

It sounds like yours are charged then. Mind don't move even a tiny bit on their own.

I only welded one in. I jacked up the axle as far up as I felt comfortable, so I could get the bumps in the correct spot. On the passenger side, the correct placement was right up against the vertical wall of the frame. I couldn't get a nut on it, and I didn't want to move it away from hitting center of the u bolt plate. So I welded the bitch. On the driver side it was about 1/3" more inboard and there was room to use the nut. I assumed it'd be identical on each side but apparently not? Or maybe my measurements were off. Either way the bumps are set and the passenger side isn't going anywhere haha
