Snapped these at the local car wash today. It's crazy how much this color changes with a little bit of sunlight IMG_4422.jpg IMG_4423.jpg

That’s a great looking truck! If I would have know that would be a standard color this year I would have waited to purchase. To bad the rear bumper doesn’t include the black out package.

Just snagged up a new ORSB in Cavalry Blue for 36,7XX with 30 miles on it. How'd I do on pricing?
First mod was the Heritage grille, Now I just need to hunt down a CB hood with a scoop!

I agree on the bumper, so I used Rustoleum bed liner paint to make it match the rest of the bumper, looks much better now IMO

Just wanted to say I love how the dash illumination "blue" closely matches the color of our trucks!

Love the look of your truck. I would like to know where the "Cavalry Blue" designation comes from. Is it a military thing? I am a retired Cavalry Scout, and blue is not a color associated with the Cavalry (It's an infantry association). Not nitpicking, just wondering how that came about. Thanks.

Someone needs either their "man card" or their "green card" revoked! And please don't tell me you don't know who "The Duke" is...

    And don't forget "Big Duke"

Modern day "cavalry soldiers" in Ft. Huachuca, Az. where the tradition still lives....

    one more...

I think in this instance I think it was a Japanese Cavalry blue, but @Arrieta578 is right, very common in history and today.

It's hard to figure out exactly because during the 1800s and especially during the American-Indian Wars soldiers wore mixed uniforms and many authorized versions. Having said that, it seems that the infantry trousers were "sky blue" and that the cavalry trousers were "cavalry blue."

I was stationed at Ft. Huachuca for schooling and thought everyone was familiar with Cavalry Blue.

    A few.
Did you order the truck without a sport hood or did the dealer swap it for you?

Looks good. How much lift and tire size did you go with?

Thanks. I went with 8112s up front and Camburg moog UCAs. In the rear I went with 5160s and Wheeler’s 2 1/2” 3 pack AAL. I gained about an 1 1/2” up front and 2 1/2” in the rear on the suspension. Then the tires raised the truck another 1” or so. So nothing too drastic. I’m leary of changing the geometry too much. As to how if feels, I wanna be humble but honest as I can: the ride simply kicks ass. I can hit speed bumps that bury other trucks with Foxes at 40 mph and it just soaks up them up. I get a little buck in the rear, but I’m guessing that’s the 5160s and that 8100s would take care of that? But the real proof for came when I let a friend drive it who has raced in the Baja 500 and 1000 and while he’s an “amateur driver” he was amazed and just started laughing... —said “those shocks were well worth the money...”

I don’t know if I will ever do the 8100s in the rear, but I’m very happy with what I have. Ride is simply amazing... soft like stock over anything at any speed and no dipping, roll or diving...and as someone else said.... “should have come from the facorty like this....”

It was Firehouse Sub day today, so:
Seen here in it's natural habitat, the Cav Blu TRD Sport limo edition.
This photo, out of several, is closest to the color I see by eye.
