How cold can you go

    -45F is max pour point. No real worry though because people at temps like that know about thermocouples, heat blankets and heat tape.
    -41F is coldest I have ever experienced. Locally -25F is coldest.

    Ive been down to to around -50F. It doesnt really feel any colder than -25F, your skin just freezes quicker. I spent about 10 days out in it, during military service.

    I went snowboarding in Quebec about 10years ago, highs were around -25f to -20f. I was wearing just about every stitch of clothing I had with me hahaha.

    Any noises starting it up? A few weeks ago we had about -10F and when I started the truck it made a little grrrrr noise for a millisecond. Nothing since that day. It was down to about 0F today, maybe -5 with windchill and it made that same noise again. Scared me.

    You think that is normal for any vehicle? My 08 Tacoma had never made that noise when dropping below 0, so this noise was new to me.

    Same temp we had this morning @7:30 this morning wind chill was -40. It made it to a high of -1 @3:00 this afternoon. I am ready for spring :annoyed:

    We had a similar BSA winter camp, Camp Klondike. Was way too friggin cold to get up for a piss in the middle of the night. Held it till it hurt.

    I remember our patrol pitching our tents in a fairly tight circle and keeping a fire in the middle going all night in two hour shifts.
