Had a nightmare experience. At a local 4x4 shop they installed everything wrong on all corners did a sloppy CMC and hammered the pinch weld outward (not into the fender) on my brand new 19 OR with 500 miles on it!! My stomach is sick about this.. and i don’t trust these guys to fix what they screwed up.. i need help diagnosing this front end sound that developed yesterday @50miles after lift.. it squeaks on the passenger side over chattery bumps (probably needs grease somewhere) but what I’m really concerned with is this popping/gargling sound from the front driver side while breaking at low speeds.. https://youtu.be/hK5poulv1EU

Are you a 4wd?? Sounds like axle binding when coming to a stop.

Can you find yourself a friend and can you replicate this at slower speeds in a empty parking lot.

That's fine. If you can walk along side with friend driving slow and apply brakes to get better video of it and where sound is coming from. Or put it up on Jack stand and have some slightly apply brakes as you turn the wheel by hand.

Scratch that.. the sound is getting worse just drove home.. it developed slowly yesterday i thought i was slight tire rub. But now it happens at low speeds when the wheel is turned right.. not going to drive it until i take it to another shop.. I waited 2 months for truck to be delivered, i shopped an additional month prior to that for pricing.. and started ordering parts in November for this build.. I’m so horribly upset right now:annoyed:

Kind of hard to make a good guess online, but have you made sure it isn’t just tire rub with brake dive? Kinda sounded like knobbies on fender liner in the video :notsure:

CV’s as mentioned before would be my next bet. Why they are binding now is beyond me though.

South FL.. and finding a good shop that does anything other than leveling kits and DB lifts here is hard.. if you want to build a mall crawler with 6” rough country lift matched with some 20x12s there’s plenty of shops..im not a fan of either bty.. this shop had my front end maxed out (3.8” up) when i went to pick it up!! I was furious told them to take it down to the specs i gave em.. 5 days later i picked it up with a horribly sloppy CMC. VSC and precollisiin lights on dash..

You have been in this section, right?
See if someone knows of a good shop or anybody on here that works on trucks.

You need a shop that specifically does drive-train stuff. Folks that actually know how the moving parts work.

Was your truck aligned properly after the lift install? That's a big deal too.

You really need a GoPro type video of the front suspension while driving to see what's going on. :(

Did you have a sway bar relocation kit for them to use. Cause that’s what it sounds like.

Sway bar hitting coils if relocation kit wasn’t installed right? Do you feel anything on your steering wheel when it happens?
