But not all trucks clear the learned values as Mat mentioned. His solution was Tech stream.

So here is my tune gameplan when my cable arrives:

    Update TSB.
Start and let idle for a couple minutes.
    Flash tune.
Start and let idle for a couple minutes.
    Use TS to clear values.
Start and let idle for 10 minutes.
Drive for 500 miles and evaluate.

    Thoughts?

When you flash the tune, supposedly the DTCs are cleared and the learn values are reset. Some trucks don’t seem to do that when flashing but most do

Flash tsb - start truck verify it starts. Flash tune, done.

It does seem to reliably reset the trans learning on the autos based on my experience. Which I’ve only been able to measure by how it drives

But based on my test the learned ignition values did not reset to ZERO as they did with Techstream

May be a dumb question but I am just trying to get things ready for my cable delivery.

Can I send my email to support@ovtune.zendesk.com before my cable arrives that contains my system ID from the ToyFlash utility? The only interface I have in the drop-down is from the techstream installation not from Tactrix yet as I would assume my laptop has not seen this interface yet. I just wasn't sure if the system ID would change once the cable they supply is added as an interface??

Yes. Send in your system ID.

The Tactrix interface will show the first time you plug it in. Your sys id will not change. OVTune will send you a file that you will place in your computer registry.

What am I doing wrong? I’ve turned off windows defender and all other virus protections. I’m using 64 bit windows 10

Would anyone be interested in a more mpg biased tune? I like the current 1.05 mpg tune very much and actually wouldn't mind giving up power for a leaner AFR, say 16:1 to get better fuel economy. If enough people are interested I bet Mat could make it happen. Or would this not be feasible with the current engine?

This current tune is the best fuel economy my truck has seen
