What kind of camper do you have?

Mine are 285's. I know a lot of guys like the skinnier 33's. Plus you dont have to cut your cab mounts I'm pretty sure. I did the 285s instead cause I thought they looked better. Never had any issues offroad or on road with these.

 

Ya I figured yours were 285’s. They look great. I’m not quite that brave with the load I tow but if I had a supercharger, I wouldn’t hesitate.

 

It wasnt the smartest decision but I've had 7300#s behind me for a shortish distance and everything did great. Wouldn't reccomend doing it but it was a last resort. I'm sure your truck handles your 4500# but you just have to get comfortable with the truck screaming away

 

Get a scanguage and watch yours trans temps. Other than that your set. How small of a pulley did you go too? What tune? Or flash are you running?

 

80mph is 2900rpm in over drive. When I am towing my camper 7500# it stays in 4th and 65mph is 3000rpm. Very familiar with the screaming engine sound. Lol.

 

I'm using a aeroforce gauge. Pretty similar to a scan gauge but fits in a round gauge pod. the pulley I have is a 2.85 and just running the stock trd supercharger tune.

I havent had it out yet loaded up but towing it empty it pulled great. Hopefully this ohio weather warms up so I can get it out soon!

 

Is that the Wolf pup 18 to? If so I was interested in that model when I was looking before deciding on the Fredom express 192rbs. Loved the layout , just opted for dual axles .

 

Yep it is the 18to. The 192rbs is a really nice setup too. I definitely prefer the positioning of the bed on yours over mine. And dual axles would be nice too. 18to seemed like it was about the most you could cram into a smaller camper

 

I loved the bigger slide on the Wolf pup with both the dinette and the couch . How do you like the bunk that pulls up above the couch ?

 

The big slide was our selling point on buying it. The bunk seems like a pretty cool concept. We dont have any kids yet but I think it will work out pretty good. The only negative with it is finding a place to keep the mattress for it.

One thing the girl and I disliked (or didnt always need) in our tear drop was the A/C. It takes up a lot of room and we have only used it once....which was when we left the dog for a few hours.

So its now been replaced with a simple cubby. We havent decided if we will put a door on it or leave it open. We'll use it a few times and decide what works best.

The nice part is the cubby just slides in so its a bit of a modular space in the sense when we do want A/C we can take the cubby out and put the A/C unit back in.

 

Not sure if you ever did anything about timbrens or not know I’m a bit late. I have a very similar setup as you. I did do timbrens and for the price they are a great little add on. They got rid of a lot of extra bounce and kept the sag to a minimum.
