Oem for now came with the truck last 2 days been struggling to crank. Getting a optima on Friday, had one in a Silverado sat unhooked for 1 year while in Korea came back hooked up an truck fired right up an lasted 5 more years. Optima in a Titan lasted 6 years is why.

Optimas are not what they once were, something to do with change in manufacturing process/location.

I used to run nothing but optima in my Jeep. The last two I bought wouldn't hold a charge at all. I thought I had some sort of parasite drawing power so I started disconnecting the battery when I parked it for more than a couple days. Same thing. Dead batteries. Switched to a cheap auto zone battery just so I could run it occasionally, no problems, starts every time. I never disconnect it.

Good morning SATX. The weather station said 25* was our low. Got up to use the bathroom, saw that, and promptly got back under the covers! Gonna try to get the car inspected again - yesterday the state computer was "frozen" at our ONLY Inspection station!

I was late, but I have an OEM that was put in the during Spring while it was sitting on dealer lots, before I bought it. So, it had like 100 miles of use!

Just got my MBRP exhaust in, I need to cut 13inches of pipeing off the exhuast to fit my short bed and I don’t have a saw, anyone recommend a place I can go ?

 

Harbor freight and get you a cheap saw all so you can use it for that and future projects

Parking is more available if you arrive by 0700 - 0730, picture shows where to park. I have annotated on the map but we park near the trees on the other side. Hope to see you all out there.


We’ll we have done this a few times and it seems to work well for the group, since we only have a two hour window for the SA Cars n Coffee each one of us brings a few things for the group. Typically we see some taco’s, donuts and someone usually brings coffee. We ask though if you bring something that you need to take it with you as we need to make sure we keep the area clean as the Church has service after the show.

Thanks, good tip. Do you ever have any issues cranking up the runner when it's cold? just curious how the 4.0 does with a 400CCA battery. Seems like it should be enough, but just curious
