They'll void your entire warranty for the whole truck too.

    Be careful.

Got my kit from eBay for $100, had the switches routed and wired up for $100 at a friend's stereo shop and I installed the heater pad, so simple and I did my clazzios too. IMG_20190220_104258103.jpg IMG_20190219_215900261.jpg IMG_20190219_215912580.jpg

    1. Airbags will still function.
    2. Install it yourself. They literally slip over the factory seats and you don't even have to take the seats out.

Today I just installed one, holy shit they’re not easy, especially the headrests. Still have some tugging and tucking so they’ll smooth out. I’ll put the other one on tomorrow, taking a break.

I’m not sure on the backrest with the Velcro, maybe should have done backrest first.

Also easier if you pull the seat out of the truck and make sure they are warm.

Yeah, I warmed them up. Really didn’t want to take the seats out, especially the headrest is easier putting it on with it on the seat. But yes the hardest part is getting everything under the seat.

Take the seats out, litterly 5 minutes tops to take them out. Best to have two people doing it, I did mine and my son's truck both 18 double cabs and it was pretty easy. Do the bottoms, then the backs follow up with headrest.

Seems like the installers are the ones who need to do the calling to Clazzio and hear it for themselves. After all, you are paying them to do the job. That should be part of their time invested, not yours. Seems like they are the ones who need to search for the vids on the net that show the Clazzio's destructive testing of the seat covers as the airbags deploy. Maybe then they can stop co-opting your valuable time by needlessly running you around like a horse chasing a carrot and can get their panties out of the self-inflicted knot they are in.

You need to be handling them, not them handling you. Those with the gold make the rules, not those being paid the gold.

Put them in yourself, it's not that hard. You and a buddy can do it in a few hours, save your money and tell tell installer to kiss your ass. Walk my friend!

Hey guys! Let me jump in and I can help answer some of these questions. Short answer is YES these will still work with your factory seat air bags. (long answer) Our seat covers are sewn with whats called "Explosive thread" over sections of the seats with air bags. This thread is VERY strong, but under extreme stress are designed to break and pop away. This same method is used on your Taco's factory seats to make them explode open when the air bag goes off.

When you receive one of our seat cover kits, you will get a set of instructions and a diagram showing which parts go on which seats. You MUST put the drivers seat back on your drivers seat and so on. If you want to verify that you installed your seat covers correctly, there are little tags that say Clazzio on the back sides of the seat backs. The Clazzio tags on both driver and passenger seat are supposed to be on the door side of the seat. If they are closer to your center console than the door, I suggest that you switch them around as soon as you can.

SR5Bri has been great to work with and the concerns of his installer are completely valid. I spoke to his installer over the phone to clear up some of his concerns. They are used to installing a different brand of leather seat replacement that has a tag that says "SRS". They are not legally obligated to put "SRS" on the seats and we aren't either! So we choose to keep them clean without extra unnecessary tags.

If you'd like to see the "Exploding thread" in action, check out this youtube video made by the manufacturer of these covers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaUzKTFLBJ0

If anyone has any concerns about safety PLEASE give us a call! Logan will be able to answer any questions that you have!

Thanks for clearing that up. Sometimes, at night, before I go to bed I go out in the shop where my Taco is parked. I open the door...and just take a sniff. Mmmm, Leather. My lips involuntarily curl into a grin. They have made me the envy of my condescending PowerStroke-driving buddies, my "inferior" truck now shod with seats finer than theirs. BEST looking seat covers they admittedly have ever seen. Best SMELLING seat covers by a long shot!

Just put my other seat on, I took the drivers seat out to put the other side on, it’s no easier, they’re still a bitch to put on. Still have to smooth them out. Plus it’s about 25F so they look wrinkled

Oh yeah. First warm day will take care of that. Be ready to re-tie everything to pull it tight again. Well worth the effort. Tuck the cover's lower edges inside those plastic seat skirts and they will look factory in no time.

I’ll be adjusting them for awhile. I broke one of the straps underneath the seat cover.

Tuck those edges in and tighten them tighter. Then re tighten again in a week. I took my front seats out and it's easier for two people to get the covers on. Worked for me and I've installed these before.IMG_20190219_215900261.jpg IMG_20190219_215942930.jpg IMG_20190219_215912580.jpg

Yours look better. Taking the 2nd seat out wasn’t any easier, no leverage. It seemed easier putting them on with the seat in the truck.
