Anybody doing mods this weekend? Any trails, breweries or both to be hit? I still need to do ECGS and CMC plus some guys needed rear brake lines and stuff?

 

I wish I work 4 12hr days and then have class 2 days both this week and next. Annnddd..... everybody in my classes are new to medicine except me and a NP in the back row who want to go home.

It’s my weekend off and my birthday, so I am sure I will be at a brewery or three.

 

Ok, I'm done shitposting for the day. (All directed at Randy. I'm lashing out because of the avatar change.) Time to go track down a trailer running light fuse issue and replace a burnt up inverter in the work truck.

 

I've got a couple of mods in the queue but not scheduled yet. New Dakar medium duty leafs and used Bilstein B110's (#RandyFab seconds) on the rear w/brake lines. I also have been putting off installation of a Dobinsons Dorkel because I don't have big enough balls to cut my fender yet.

 

Just cut it already.

 

Measure twice, cut once. Honestly, using the step bits to drill out the holes for the bolts was more scary for me looking back at it. If you have a hole saw the big hole will be really easy. But using the step bits. If the Template is off alignment by even a small amount well, you will get extra holes.

 

I still need to get a big enough hole saw. Already have a step bit that should do the job. I also need to verify my template is good. Apparently a batch of templates for the 3rd gens has one hole that is way off.

 

Yes. Mine was that way. Found out the hard way.

Edit: to be fair, we had to print off a template after calling ARB because I either didnt get one, or couldnt find it.

 

Well then looks like I need to get my .300 BO build going soon.

I'm borrowing a 4.5" hole saw bit from @TaKoToy . I bet he probably wouldn't mind if you used it too.

 

You could do a 556 lower from Adm, get a pistol lower. Get the brace you want (I like sb personally, with a law tactical folder) and then buy a 300 bo upper and bcg, buy a 1-6 lpvo, then put it on top of the lower. When you want to go 556 switch out the upper,
