Resetting it simply means that it will start the learning processes all over again. However, please remember that the relearning process includes the IDLE learning, as well, so make sure you let it idle for a full 10 minutes before driving it anywhere after you reset the learning!

I have the older kit with the dongle, its not registered. I sent the details needed back on Feb 28th and I haven't heard anything meaningful back (other than confirmation). Is there a way to speed this up a little. I know support is busy, but we're double the estimated time for a response now.

We are getting back to everyone as quickly as we can right now.

Few things for everyone to know:
    1. We don't work on weekends anymore
    2. We've had a very high volume of orders since flash manager release and are working on catching up everything as fast as we can.
    3. Newest developments have not been added yet to current tunes
    4. We do not have any handheld updates yet, when we know you know.
    5. As mentioned before we are expecting an addition to the family so sometimes I may not be available.
    6. Submit a ticket to our zendesk for any issues, we will get back to you.
    7. If you use forum PM to chat issues or other things it's very very likely to be forgotten.

I’d like to clear my learning values with TS. Can someone please link me the TS download and instructions? I saw it on my phone a while ago but didn’t get to my laptop. Lots of links floating around in search, just wanna make sure I get the correct one. I’m on 04B04 91 performance on 2016 AT and running Windows 10 x64 if that makes a difference.

I have a 2016 and my Ecu was updated to 04b03 I believe and currently running 1.03 91 oct.
    also I’m a dongle user.
So my question.... is it Mat’s advice to update to 04b04 before updating to 1.05..?
Is it better then loading on 04b03...?
Still waiting on the 91 performance tune with a milder tip in and the new tweaks made on the dyno.
Also is Mat going to make it possible to clear the learned values with FM..?

if you can get the dealer or person with TS move to 04B04. Mat will eventually get the other tunes for 04B03 out but it seems his preferred platform to initially release is 04B04. Doubtful you will have to wait for future mods (like you are with 04B03) to 1.05 (see dyno information) if you do this.

Mat said that upgrading to 04B04 isn't necessary. That said, all tunes are available now for 04B04. And as far as I know he hasn't said he would add learning values clearing to FM.

First of all its impossible to produce more hydrocarbons with a leaner mixture as when a mixture is lean there is more oxygen than fuel so all of the fuel burns before all of the oxygen is used up. Secondly Mazda Skyactive X engine uses an AFR of 37:1 and have no issues with heat or NOx, its actually much improved. The problem is getting the mixture to ignite so Mazda actually sprays fuel right to the spark plug at the top of the compression stroke to drop the AFR to 29:1 so they can get it going. Why blow me off without doing any research?

Is clearing the TCU preferred as well, or just the ECU?

I've always cleared both individually in each of the separate utility menus; however, there have been a few posters here who stated that the clearing function in the Transmission menu actually clears both the ECU and TCU simultaneously. I can't figure out an easy way to test that claim, though, so I'm still clearing each one separately.

EDIT: Maybe there's a Toyota PID that could be referenced in the Fusion OBD app to test/verify the clearing functionality in each of the two TechStream utility menus? hmm...

Maybe you should skip OVTune and tune your truck yourself since you know so much...

Sounds like you must have skipped a couple classes yourself. Otherwise, you wouldn’t need Mat to tune your truck.

It’s my humble opinion that your walk through life would be more satisfying if you weren’t so confrontational. I’m hoping, for your sake, that you’re just having a bad day and this isn’t a normal pattern of behavior.

They’re are far better ways to get your point across.

    This.
Transmission utility clears both ECU and TCU learning. If I remember correctly, if you hover over the clear button, a note appears saying both will be cleared.

I can't believe I missed that tooltip. DOH!

I'll definitely need to remember that the next time I flash a new tune. Thank you!
