Was the grinding noise all the time? I have a grinding noise but only seems to be when turning at slow speeds and going over uneven ground like turning uphill into a parking lot

HAHA yea I had a buddy get a flat this winter on the interstate and his was seized up. He called me because he knew my wife's Suburban spare would fit his Silverado. I immediately put dropping and lubing my spare mechnism on my to do list! hahaha at some point I would like to move the spare out from underneath the truck all together.

Same here in Indiana, 5 years seems to be about the going rate on a battery. We've had our 3rd fake spring and now were onto what is hopefully our last winter. hahaha

Bought new headlights yesterday. Am not happy with the Silvanias that burnt out after less than 2 years... I’m sure the recent polar vortexes had something to do with it. I’ll give these Philips units a try...

Mine are wired to an S-Tech Switch so both lights are wired to it under the hood. Connectors are tucked right under the edge of the windshield cowl. Just make sure they are secured in a good spot, or they will hit the hinge when the hood is closed.

I ordered the same stuff myself Saturday, planning on doing the doors (driver side rear sounds really tinny from the factory) and then maybe full cab. Did you use a roller or just hand pressure?

Stock headlight. Stock harness. 3 weeks, daily driving. Will never run a Phillips bulb again, ever.

I did buy the roller, and makes it a little easier.

The roller is mainly to work any bubbles out so the stuff stays put. The fewer you start with the better so work each piece carefully into place smoothing and rolling as you go. You can also prick a hole in a bubble to let the air out, it's self sealing.

2008 here, no DTRLs on my truck. Thank you for the advise though.

Swapped in new OEM shackles with energy suspension poly bushings. This will allow the rear end to droop and not have the stock bushings bind.

While at full droop my +4” brake lines were a little snug for my liking. Took a page out of biksteins book spaced up the hard lines on the axle.

Do you happen to have the part number of the Energy Suspension bushings?

LOL my friend said the same thing. A quick scan of the hardware aisle and I didn’t see any. You know how much of a PITA it is to line up 20 washers??

I had to buy this whole kit, and I’ll be selling off the rest of the bushings. As far as I know you can’t buy just the shackle bushings on their own. Oddly enough though I have an extra set of shackle bushings I’ll sell you for $35 shipped
