Thinking about powder coating a high clearance bumper/swing arm when it comes in. Anyone have recommendations and estimates?

No idea what they’d quote you but I’ve used thermotech in Monroe and they do good work with fast turn times

Can’t think of the name but a place of Pacific Ave in parkland does a really good job. @rlx02

Thermotech did mine. I think it was somewhere between 300 and 400, but it was a few years ago so I don't recall the exact amount. They were very fast on turning it around and I'd say did a decent job.

C&R's are always a worth while investment. Crap is cheap now while there are still ones available. Just have to look at Garands or Mosins. Two-four years ago you could pick them up for ~600 and ~100-150 respectivly. Try finding them at that price now

To be fair, rear bumpers for these 4th gen 4runners/vans all seem to be unreasonably massive due to the styling of the vehicle. Also uses 2 swing arms, and had a tire carrier and a jerry can carrier on it (I broke it down into 5 separate pieces for powder coating) So yours could be less expensive...:notsure:

Any part in particular? We use ECSTuning and Rockauto for our MKIV. Planning on trying to find a TDI one?

Going to lift it so the oil pan doesn't get ripped off in the driveway again? :D

Ya i had a MK.IV in the past, great car expect for the fact it was a PD motor. I’m looking at an AHU Jetta with some rear impact damage, Good thing about living on a farm? Lots of room to store stuff and i have a MK.III parts car that i can rob some stuff of of. I’ll still need little things here and there though

Gotcha. The girls is a AVH which thankfully has been rock solid minus a transmission bearing going out. All the little crap (even OEM) I just get through ECS Tuning (talking bushings, ball joints, ect).

Must be a women and Jetta thing....mine cracked her oil pan too. Thankfully she was able to drive it off the road and then it dumped oil everywhere.

Lol i was really surpised mine didnt seize hers either. Luckily the crack was just in the right spot to not loose oil (well much) while actually driving. So she made it to a 7-11 in Tacoma...at 3am, turn it off and made a huge mess in their parking lot once the oil pressure dropped.

My ex drove her bug until it puked all its oil out and shot a rod through the block on the interstate.

If it was one of the "new" ones was that really such a bad thing?
