I am the exception to the rule.

I worked my ass off applying for all the grants and scholarships known to man, even made up ones!

I had a full time job through out the 4 years of college and paid out of pocket for most of it, after graduation I had less than 10k in a loan that spanned the 4 years.

I paid it off the following year.

    Workin' on it....
Good on ya for being able to do that.

While I had a part time job in undergrad, there was no way I could put in 40 hours a week in a full time job and still spend 40-50 hours a week in a professional college.

X5 on no student loans, went to automotive school in high school through west mec for free and fortunately discovered then I had no desire to work on other people’s stuff for a living, then started working for a contractor in a rare trade that trains within I wouldn’t change anything And feel bad for those that think they have to go to college because that’s what the school system pumps into you.

Funny the difference between a doc and a PT when it comes to the definition of recovered.

Doc- range of motion is excellent and atrophy going away PT at this point is not necessary and optional.

PT- you've got a long way to go buddy. In fact we just put together a plan to taper down sessions in April and work through the entire summer so I can give az trail another go in fall.

On that note I'm returning to the site I went down this weekend. Gonna camp outside Kentucky Camp and provide some trail magic for the NOBO thru hikers coming through. Should be a decent amount I think about 40-50 set off this week and 80 miles in should catch a good chunk of them.

Almost all stocked up and ready to roll, got some more stuff being delivered Thursday night. 20190303_153443.jpg

Worked on the Z some more. Took more out. So glad I did. Nasty under all the plastics. Also put the valve covers on. Also glad I decided to take the time to paint them.

Well....it started as the 120k service and I keep having scope creep. The snowball is real. So as it sits i just want to get it running reliably and cleaned up really nice.

Ha that’s cool man you are going to bearizona. Went there with the girl a month or so ago and it was cool to cruise by the wolves...which seemed like pretty chill guys.

Any of you have any insight on good entry level trade jobs to get into? I been doing my research but it seems like a lot of you have a good amount of real world experience. After four years of cubicle work, I cant see myself making this a career. Hands on work is much more enjoyable for me.

I was in the same boat about 5 years ago. Worked for UoP for like 6 years... Hated it. Always enjoyed building and working with my hands. Got my foot in the door in the manufacturing industry and learned everything on my own on the job. Been working my way around and up ever since. If you can get in, and have the drive.. it's definitely doable. And I didn't go to College...
