A few weeks ago I ordered some step bars from Avid and have been like a crackhead waiting for a fix ever since. Brandon has been super nice during building my bars. Well, they finally shipped. Hell yeah!

As soon as he emailed me the tracking number, I felt my stomach start turning. I saw they were being delivered FedEx. I have had issues with them before, but I was trying to be positive about it since I have not dealt with them in a couple years.

I looked up the tracking number and it said delivery date was Saturday between 9 and 8. Well cool, I knew they did residential delivery on Sat. As expected I waited all fucking day for those fucks and no delivery. They just updated the status on that shit online saying they will be here tomorrow, but it also says out for delivery. I know damn well they won't be coming today.

Anyway to get to my point, fuck FedEx!!! :brianr:

I feel ya, but my experience has been the opposite. FedEx always, always delivers one day BEFORE the scheduled delivery date. Plus, they ship a day or two faster than UPS, consistently.

I bet your package will be there today...good luck!

Sounds like the FedEx guys in your area need to come train the guys around here.

Sat delivery means its Fedex Home, they definitely don't deliver on Mondays as its a Tuesday -> Saturday service.

What I did with the weathertechs was have them hold it at the local depot (as I was away when they were scheduled to be delivered).

Big thing to watch for though is their opening times. Regular Fedex you can pick stuff up until 7:30pm or so. Can't do that with Fedex Home, 4:30pm or 5pm will be the latest. Definitely check first if you're going that route.

FedEx is good for me but UPS sucks. They break things and mess shit up all time and filing a claim is a huge pain in the ass. FedEx is always on time and the driver for my route is awesome.

This is true...the UPS fuckers actually broke the frame on a Specialized StumpJumper I ordered!! Seriously, how the fuck do you break a mountain bike frame during delivery??

I've had great luck with FedEx, the cheapest and quickest around. Thank god for them, this way me and my slider customers don't have to pay the ridiculous prices UPS charges, and USPS won't touch all 103 lbs. of 'em. Plus they're open 24 hrs so I can take 'em there at my convenience. (FedEx / Kinko's)

Well, I decided that I didn't really want to wait any longer for my steps. I called and they said they would be delivered tomorrow, no good I'll be out of town for the next few days. I took me a little trip to FedEx and said I wanted to pick them up. After talking to a couple people, I got my bars. woohooo.

I should have gotten my step bars from Avid Off-Road over a week ago. FedEx passed when I wasn't home and left a drop ticket on my door with instructions to sign the ticket and place it back on the door and the driver would leave the package the next day if no one was home again.

The next day there was no package but there was another drop ticket next to the signed one that I left on the door. So I signed that ticket and also left it on the door.

The next day there again was no package but there was another drop ticket next to the two signed ones that I left on the door. So I signed that ticket and also left it on the door.

I called FedEx and they said the package would be delivered later that next day. The next day came.....no package.

I called back and they said there was a mix-up because the bar code on the package was damaged. They “guaranteed” it would be delivered the next day. The next day came......no package.

I called back and was told this time that because three attempts were already made, I would have to go to the pickup station to get the package between the hours of 8am and 10am. That right! They’re open for pickups only two hour2 per day and this would have been a 2 hour drive one way in lovely Houston morning traffic.

I call Brandon at Avid and he made some calls to FedEx however; they gave him the same answer.

The next morning right before I left to go get the damn package, a FedEx manager called and said the package was on the truck and would be delivered that afternoon. That afternoon came......no package!

I call FedEx tree more times and after a whole lot of bitching, I was forwarded to the Customer Advocacy Team based in Atlanta. The rep was very polite and professional. He made several calls and said everything was straightened out and that I would get the package the next day.

The next morning, my wife received a call at home from a woman claiming to be the FedEx driver. She told my wife that quote “I ain’t paid enough to deliver that package again and it’s too heavy for me to carry by myself anyway

    REALLY!?!!!!!!!!!!!

If it was too heavy for her to lift, HOW THE HELL WAS SHE GOING TO DROP THE PACKAGE ON HER FIRST THREE ATTEMPTS!?

I call the FedEx Customer Advocacy Team rep back and told him what has happened. After a long pause, he took a deep breath and began apologizing. He again made several calls and said that he arranged for FedEx Express Overnight Service to pick the package up and said I would definitely get the package the next day.

The next day came.....NO F#$@?!! PACKAGE.

I call the FedEx Customer Advocacy Team rep back and before I even said anything, he began apologizing. He said the contract delivery service was closed when FedEx Express Overnight Service tried to pick the package up the previous afternoon.

He again made several calls and said said I would certainly get the package the next day.

Today is the next day. Anyone want to place bets?

Opposite with me, UPS great, Fedup sux. Two deliveries to my home in the last year were delivered to neighbors homes. Fortunately the neighbors are honest and contacted me about the Fedup mistake. Each time Fedup tracking said it was delivered. Not!

typically the only issue i have with fedex is those stupid drop slips. they say to check the box and they will leave it the next day but they wont. i missed the drop off so i checked the box. the next day i did hte same thing. by the third day i had 2 signed and checked drop slips, as well as a hand written note i taped to the doors saying to please leave the package and i wouldn't hold them responsible if they left it and i then signed it and said they could take that note as evidence if they needed to. still, would not drop off my package. finally i had to drive up there and pick it up. other than that, i've had no issues with fedex but i've had several with ups.
