I installed 5100's all around and an a Toytec AAL in the rear. I also installed some shims as well. After the install, i notice that the truck has a bumpy vibration coming from the rear between 5-10 MPH. I only notice it when starting from a stop. Any ideas what could be causing this? Should I remove the shims?

Its the carier bearing. Get a carier bearing drop, whick is just some spacers. I have a small vibe when accelerating, but it doesnt bother me. I didnt use any shims on the back. Did you install the shims? What direction were they installed?

Damn chris, you sound so certain. I did install the Toytec shims. Arrow up pointing towards the front, the thick part is to the rear of the truck. Above the axes, below the overload leaf. So a carrier bearing spacer should fix the problem? Is it easy to isntall? I'll go ahead and place an order for a set from Toytec.

    getting there....
for the carrier bearing spacers, you could probably go cheap and just use some thick washers for each side that bolts to the frame....same amount for each side. just a thought anyway.
