    It’s not a cable. It’s an OBDII adapter that’s specifically programmed for the OVTune application.

    Wait..@OVTune What happens if the laptop dies or is simply replaced? I was about to pull the trigger on this, but was going to use an old laptop as I'm not in the windows ecosystem. I expected a licensing method to protect their IP, but I had assumed it would be either on the OBDII device, or licensed to the ECU itself.

    It seems like the throttle response in the midrange is not as good as low end, but ect helps fix that

    Shit, I'm going to try the ECT button with my 91 perf tune tomorrow. As is it feels as if the ECT button is not necessary anymore.

    Ran the 93 1.05 on my 2018 taco sport on Wednesday. I had a significant AT lock jump at low RPM30-50mph. I flashed 93 1.05.1 last night and cleared LV and AT per the instructions. It greatly reduced the lockup jump, but did not eliminate it.

    2018 Taco Sport AT. 3in leveling lift with 285/60-18s. The jump first appeared when installing the tires. They are only +1 over, but they are nearly twice the weight of the stock tires and rims. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Curious if you know or think your OVTune solution might affect TSS or one of these conditions that might require an altered throttle? Regards.

    VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) is solely responsible for maintaining vehicle stability. It will accomplish this by cutting engine power as well as applying brakes to individual wheels as it sees fit. ...

    AUTO LSD (Automatic Limited Slip Differential) is a 2wd only mode that has TRAC turned on and VSC turned off. Meaning you get the brake simulated LSD functionality from TRAC while preventing VSC from intervening and cutting engine power. This is useful for powering out of situations where VSC is preventing you from getting out/started because it is constantly cutting engine power.

    This post makes me miss my homeland really bad. I’ve probably been through the Eisenhower 500+ times heading to Silverthorne every Friday afternoon chasing powder in Summit County.

    I keep reading about this as a fix-all to the Tacoma. Can someone give me a ELI5 just so I am certain that I understood what this fixes?

    From my understanding, it "fixes" the dip in torque...but what side effects, if any, will the Tacoma face?

    The Tacoma is always going to suffer from poor gearing, which is what causes a lot of the drivability problems. So unless you re-gear, it isn't quite a fix-all.

    285's here as well . In regular drive mode it is great off the line . If I get on it though ,it will bog down and go through the gears too quick . Hoping for a fix with the upcoming update . Gear lock with performance is great . Plenty of power .....I usually drive around in 3rd and upshift as needed . Totally worth it imo .

    Probably go on and get one then, I don’t mind the bogged feeling when trying to lay into it...had a lot of midsized trucks on bigger tires in my life so this is the norm lol. Thanks for the input
