I just purchased a brand new 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro with comes with the new Fox suspension. Can this vehicle accomodate larger tires? There really doesn't seem to be any information and the dealer, (a decent guy who seemed pretty well versed on Toyota modifications and upgrades), wasn't much help. The truck already looks awesome but larger tires would certainly enhance its appearance. I would hate to be a guinea pig and shell out or larger and more aggressive looking tires only to experience rubbing in the wheel wells. Any ideas on this?

    Welcome!

You can go to 265/75/16, which is 1” over stock.

I'm still a little confused... The issue is the 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro now has the Fox suspension. This might make upgrading to a larger tire difficult or impractical. I agree that a 265/75/16 would enhance the vehicle's appearance as it does on 2017 or earlier model TRD's in general but would the difference in the Fox suspension be an impediment, thereby by causing wheel rub, etc. I saw one response to this thread was "No", without further explanation.

I was being a smartass because this same question has been addressed multiple times.

There's no difference just because there are Fox stickers on your shocks

I’ve got the same Pro Fox suspension as you and I’m running a 265/75/16 Blizzak with no issues.

The only other tire you might want to consider is a 255/85/16 (33” tire with no issues but with OR rims)

I'm pretty sure that if you go with 285's you'll need to change your suspension since that extra 1" the Fox suspension gives you is not enough to avoid rubbing. I have a full OME suspension with more that 1" of lift gained and 285/70/17 tires on my OR and I had a lot of rubbing that only went away after a lot of trimming, cutting, punching, and CMC'ing.

This is the one reason most people need to think twice before buying a Pro if they are going to go with bigger tires. Once you change the suspension you might as well have purchased an OR and saved money. Anyway, that is a subject that has been beaten to death so I will say no more.

Thanks for all the information. The last response makes a lot of sense and was really what I was looking for. Incidentally, the OR was what I was initially looking at but was steered away from. I'm very happy with the Pro, (who wouldn't be?) and the hope is that as more 2019's make it to the road, (or off road), owner's will have more ideas and information regarding lifts and suitable tire upgrades.
