That’s what my doc was doing, and why I’m trying to find another.

I’ve suffered from mirgaines all my life and he wanted to prescribe a antidepressant that “may help” with them. I was like wtf.

Never took anything I said seriously, only wanted to push pills instead of getting to the source of the problem.

    Overweight: meh, slightly - 225lbs @ 6'1"
    Snoring: yes
    Stop breathing: no

High Blood pressure: yes -- but the medicine the doc has me on only brought it down to 140/90 (was 160/100+)...he said the new level is "fine"...LOL, OK

My fiancee is the clinical supervisor (BSN-RN) in the cardio thoracic intensive care unit at CMC Main here in Charlotte, so she keeps check on my heart health. We are currently vetting new doctors and neurologists, as the local yokel I had been seeing for a few months is a dipshit.

Just started going to the doc first of the year @ 31y/o...now that I have a child, I'd like to live long enough to see her grow up.

20 years ago most mood behavior type medicine was prescribed by psychologists. Today family doctors prescribe psychological drugs like giving candy away to kids. Crazy

I second this. Same age, same new outlook on life. I don't have big issues but I do have arthritis forming in my back along with bone spurs and my family has a big history of diabetes and heart conditions.

I don't remember any of my great grandparents. None of them lived to see me but one. My girls will be able to meet 7 of theirs who most are still in great health.

I want to be spoiling the fuck out of my great grandkids in 50 years.

I'm thoroughly against ever having to sleep with a C-PAP, just sayin...can't do it, unless my life were to absolutely depend on it.

I have a very difficult time getting to sleep every night, I don't need a noisy machine and a mask strapped to my head making it even more difficult.

However, I do have chronic problems with my sinuses...I think that's part of the problem. Broken nose at 3 and probably never healed correctly. Getting that checked out soon too...might be a big contributor to the headaches and sleep problems.

I live with sinus pressure and infections. Sucks.

I don't think I've ever been able to breathe freely out of both nostrils at the same time.

Edit - god I sound like an old man with all these problems. sounds worst on paper than it feels...

It is, no problem admitting it!! Just like you can't handle a C-PAP... I can't handle AA! Maybe I'll be able to give it up soon.... after the divorce and the future ex-wife and mother-in-law move out with 3 unruly dogs that just eat all my shit and destroy my yard!

Until then, I go home sit in the garage, play with the truck and drink until I can barely make it back to the bedroom and pass out, get a few hours of sleep, walk up feeling like $10 and go back to work, w/ my mother-in-law!

    :annoyed:

I tried the C-PAP. Couldn't sleep with it on my face at all. Yes, I have bad apneas. I think I hold the record for them at the sleep center here in Greenwood, something like 47 of them during one night. I'm doing another study soon since supposedly they have gotten better and smaller in just a few years.

That is why me and my daughter's mother didn't work out. Even though I like her dad he was at the house every day until bed and brought snacks to the kids right before dinner. Her mom is nice just one of those old gossipy church ladies again at the house everyday. I need space don't want guests or others living in my house like that.
