It's actually not that heavy really. It's when you add a winch that's when it turns into that 400+ pound fat bitch of a water buffalo you wake up to with a hangover.

We can say what we will about ARB bumpers but damn if their shipping, price, and product quality isn't always on point.

Agreed, and no lead time either which is one of the biggest selling points I think...I'm impatient on truck parts and so many bumpers have several weeks lead time that often turns into several more weeks, etc.

the ARB one isn't my favorite design but it's far from the worst looking bumper out there, I think they look pretty good on 1st gens actually. On 2nd gens they look 'meh' and on 3rd gens they look plain weird imo

Well this is a new level of headassery.

The city next to my hometown set up a SMOG checkpoint.

    That’s right.

    A SMOG checkpoint.

Friend told me it’s random selection like the TSA. I’m guessing they only harass California plated vehicles.

They’re also checking for illegal exhausts, intakes, turbos, tint, shit like that.

I honestly don’t mind the exhaust law.

Try living on a street where all your hear are ricers with their straight piped exhausts and fart cannons racing down the street.

The tint law here sucks...had to get mine removed on my last car. Like most people I got away with it for a few years, but once you get pulled over they'll tack that on to the ticket they're giving you. I had to get it removed and then show up to court and show the judge the receipt from the removal, wasted a whole day on that crap.

My roommate made this terrible splice for one of those hitch lights on his BRZ. Cop gave him a fix it ticket for a non-working left DRL.

I looked at it, it’s just a bad splice can be fixed easy with a butt connector.

If you hit the taillight really hard, the DRL comes back on. So when he went to the local CHP office to show them he fixed it, he told me he hit the taillight really hard when the CHP officer wasn't looking and got the ticket signed off on.
