I'd probably get pulled over before that cause Tyler would call the cops saying something like "he has no exhaust, no smog, a snorkel, a double stack gun magazine in the glove box and he shot my avacado toast." And just cause it's California I'd get a swat team for it.

My exhaust tip was rubbing against my shackle so I just hacked off enough of it so it stopped rubbing. I can’t shorten it as much as you did because SMOG referee might give me shit about have the pipe so far back.

It’s not supposed to matter since it’s after the Catalytic converter, but I’ve still heard stories of people being harassed about it.

 

Except the law states that it can't be over 95db from 50ft away, that's not all that loud for a modified exhaust....I agree that some people have exhaust that is plain obnoxious and should be against the law but I think a lot of us would probably be at risk of getting fined for the current parameters of the rule. And last I heard it's a $1000 ticket

Also I think the cop can give you the ticket just based on him thinking it's too loud, then its up to you to fight it and prove that it either is or isn't by getting it tested.

 

As long as I don’t have to hear these dipshits drag racing while I’m studying I could care less what the exhaust laws are.

Loud exhaust is good for public safety...people that are hard of hearing/have headphones is or people who are blind can know that you're there. Think of how many innocents have been hit and killed by those driving silent electric vehicles...the shame, the shame

 

Priuses deliberately make a noise when backing up because they’re otherwise silent.
