Dinner convo last week:
Served an entree and 2 sides to The Mr. I only had one side.

Me: (seductively) So. How do you like those beans? Do they taste ok?
Him: they’re great. why didn’t you have an....? looks up wide eyed.

Hey Chuck....thanks for checking. Everything is good so far. Just a lot of rain and people who just can’t slow down. I saw two spin outs just on the way in to work this morning.

I think we have it pretty easy compared to the others.

You stay safe over there yourself. How’d your thyroid tests turn out?

 

Alot of flooded roads and washes up here with sand and mud covering the roads . Same here with cars & trucks speeding in these conditions and trying to make the biggest splash going thru flooded sections of roads

doctor ordered more blood labs but mentioned it's okay according to him !!!

Afternoon all.

Question for you experienced plumber type folks. How can I lube the water shut off valve for my house water. Water company said just call us and we'll send someone out.... so if I have a leak in my house I have to just watch it leak/ spray water an extra hour until you get here? And ruin more furniture and flooring?

 

I have a large tee handle wrench that provides plenty of leverage on that valve. I think I've seen them at Home Depot too.

 

I've got one of them. Just cannot get the valve to turn. Thinking of getting a hammer and beating it off

I'm not sure you meant to tee that up like that, but I'm going to let that go. I'll just be here laughing to myself.

 

Drivers up here are friggin crazy , I was slowing down to go thru a flooded section of road when out of nowhere a lifted Chevy truck running 44" tires flew thru the same section . He was going so fast when he hit the flooded area that his wave /wake he created soaked my truck in muddy water . I couldn't even see thru my windshield for a few seconds !!!!

The roof of my truck is muddy along with the bed liner and all the right side of my truck !!!!!

 

Can you use a pry bar or large screwdriver on the water shutoff handle for added leverage ?????
