Maybe so, but he is the one that is doing all the research and development, manufacturing, testing, assembly, marketing and shipping. His business, his choice.

The VA dot law is sort of vague on the subject.

    https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title46.2/chapter10/section46.2-1014.1/

Seems like an asshole inspector could potentially ding you if they don’t see a “DOT approved” on the light or it doesn’t meet whatever the hell “type approved by the Superintendent” is.

At the end of the day a brake light usually just needs to be red and bright enough to be seen at like 500ft.

I am definitely in for a pre-order! Water is leaking through my stock one, assholes at the dealership gave me some BS about how my truck is a few months out of warranty so they're pushing me to replace it out of pocket. Dealers are such a scam.. Not to mention the fact that they wanted 120 bucks to do an "inspection" to verify the leak is coming from the 3rd brake light. Screw them, i'd would rather spend my money on an upgraded version.

Yes! Shoot me a PM for the discount code.

You got it! I'll do it this week since I am at our other office location with my co-worker whose truck that is.

Who ever sent me a rear camera for R&D thanks:thumbsup:
Fits JUST right in the 4 BD housing between the 2 brake lights. Being a little angled down+wide view...It should cover the entire bed plus cars behind you. Obviously it can't see directly behind the tailgate(that's what the rear cam is for)
This would actually come in handy for me because I haul stuff regularly and would like to check on the contents while driving.(really hard with a spare tire and jack up against the back window)

It's at about the same angle as the bed lights.

the rear clearance. Its PUSHING it, but we are Inside the seal, and there is a hole in the cab metal directly behind this so it should be no issues.

So with a NEW variable thrown into the mix.. that will put us at like 15 different combination lights:goingcrazy:
Now I for sure will have to go with a "special order" group buy because everyone is going to be different.

@destin_meeks Will the pcam 360 fit too? Not trying to be picky, just like a little adjustability/flexibility :) that looks amazing btw, I didnt expect the camera to be so little :)

Plus you mentioned something with a higher resolution for rear mirror type usage, any suggestions? Maybe even from the same manufacturer possibly?

What are your thoughts on the PCAM-FMBR180? Says he but resolution is 480 vs pcam-220 at 420
