    The cell units work a tad different than a phone would as it only needs data, not voice. So a weaker signal still triggers a command to the unit.

    Installed remote start with cellular backup from @jmeitz. I ran into a problem with installation and he was quick with a phone call to both me and the manufacturer to remedy the situation and get it working for me within minutes. I would highlighly recommend!

    100% if you don’t have a factory remote on your key, else you have to tap into Tpms wire. Can be used with any phone. The cell module is T-Mobile.

    Had an issue where my cellular service wasn’t working and then my actual push start wasn’t working. Jeremie called me and we walked through sever troubleshooting method which didn’t work. I shipped him my unit and he reprogrammed both on his truck and made sure they worked before sending it back to me. All within about 4 days including the weekend. Had everything installed and worked amazing today. He even reimbursed me for the shipping. Excellent customer service and product.

    I started watching Fortin when I had a Highlander. At the time they were touted as a inexpensive easily installed system supposedly around the $150. Price point. Now that I have a 2017 Tacoma I would be interested in one with the Smartphone app but at $500. plus for both modules I have to think about it a bit more.
