Anybody know the exact length they used to run the wires from the handle to the BCM?

I measured about 11 feet (of each +/-) to start and it was almost perfect. I’d suggest giving yourself a bit extra and you can trim it at the taps.

Feeding the wire through the boot was by far the toughest part. Spent a half hour only to realize I had it wrapped out of the door shell through the speaker cutout LOL. All good now though!

I used a foot long heavy duty zip tie and lubed it. I then fed it from the cabin and into the door. Took less than a minute to do. The longest process was soldering and shrink wrapping the connection on the driver side.

    About friggin time! Haha j/k

I swear this is probably one of the best mods you can do on the 3rd gen.

I'm curious though, does your handle have pearl in it? It almost looks flat like the rest of your paint.:rofl::rofl:

I installed this mod today in my 2018 TRD Sport. This is awesome. Like many people have already said, why is this not standard? But it was fun and very easy to do. My Pop & Lock was easy, but this was even easier. Kudos to Victory for this.

I don’t know of anyone. If you are somewhat mechanical, you would be able to do it yourself.

Thanks, I’m ok with mechanical, but really don’t want to mess with anything electrical.

If you can install a remote start you can install this mod. Basically a 2 wire install. Just make sure you get the right 2 wires. Directions are pretty clear, just take your time.

Does anyone happen to have the wire repair terminals they haven't installed yet? One of these: 1- 82998-74030 Terminal Repair W W $12.60,
1- 82998-74040 Terminal Repair W W $12.60, that they could try and take some measurements of? I want to try to find an alternative pin instead of paying Toyota $13 each. I still plan on adding all 3 other handles to my Tacoma, and really don't want to spend almost $80 just on pins and wires. Some of these types of parts are dirt cheap, but it is a matter of figuring out exactly which part is needed. DigiKey sells tons of stuff like that, and this website also sells some stuff that may work: http://www.cycleterminal.com/index.html (they have some Honda COP connectors I need for my car).

Probably length, width, height? I don't really know how these things are classified, but I can try to figure it out.

Great mod, and great instructions Victory. Got it installed tonight and everything works great. With a pass through tool I have getting the wire through the door was the easiest part for me. As everyone else has said this should have come standard on the truck like it did on our highlander.
