Chad is fixing the existing temp/comp in the overhead, not a mirror upgrade. Known issue in earlier 2nd gens...

 

But he could still learn something that could be useful to me

That should be easy. Just play with the solder iron a little before you go for it. You got this.

 

Don't argue with me boy! You don't have an overhead console with the temp/comp. Chad's Dad's truck just needs to get a solder redone, no wiring, no added functionality.

 

I was mostly interested in the taking-apart and putting-back-together aspect though.

 

I didn't know they had the compass and temp in an overhead console on 2nd gens. I thought it was in the mirrors.

I think I'm going to that all toyo junkyard tomorrow if anybody else wants to go. I got a couple parts I need to look for

Ha, no. I don't even like the new style tail lights really. I would probably just go with an aftermarket one that has black housings.

 

Anyone around Clear Lake know a good detailer? I'm not even that great washing by hand much less everything else. I'm debadging my truck and wanna get it all detailed up once I'm done and the weather clears up.

 

I know I asked a while ago, but never did get around to it.

Need a new front windshield, and want to get the wife's windows tinted....let me know Houston!

It sounds familiar, I can look them up. I used to go to Aqua on 2351, but they slipped in quality.

 

It's a bar wash on 646. Legit food and booze while you wait on your truck to be detailed.
