    Updated: February/03/2024

There are threads explaining the process on converting the second gen. front end from 05-11 to 12-15, but I haven't seen an actual complete purchase list.

So here it is, in case anybody wanted a simple and quick reference guide on what you need to buy with working eBay links. I put this together with all the parts I used on my truck. I will keep this updated over time for people that want to do this in the future, but keep in mind parts will be sold out now and again.

You can get away with 70-80% aftermarket parts with this swap without issues, with a little patience and adjusting everything fit like factory for me. However there are some parts that are just better buying OEM. All listed in the links below. If you want to go crazy buy all OEM parts, but it's not necessary.

    FAQ:
Your fenders will NOT need to be replaced, the design is exactly the same 2005-2015. The only painted panels will be bumper/bumper flares, hood/hood scoop, plastic fillers below headlights, and grille surround trim.

OEM Style Headlights - (Seen In PIC A)

    Hood -

    Hood Scoop - + 4x 10mm nuts needed

    Hood Latch Support -

    Hood Latch -

    Lower Headlight Mount Brackets-

Plastic Mount Tab For Bumper Fillers (You'll need 2x)

Lower Bumper Bracket Inner (You'll need 2x) + 4 rivets to hold them (sold here)

Lower Bumper Brackets Outer - + 6 rivets to hold them (sold here)

Front Bumper + Bumper Flares + Lower Grille + Upper Grille + Headlight Fillers + Upper Bumper Brackets Left & Right + Fog Lights -

Reinforcement Bar + Center Bumper Support Bracket

    Bumper Flare End Cap Clips-

    ________Optional Parts ________

Headlights Installed On My Truck -

TRD Pro OEM Grille Insert -

LEFT & RIGHT Fender Wheel Liners- (If you want the fender liners to fit to the bumper properly you will need these)

Clips For Wheel Liners- (They are one time use)

    Update 5 years later,
I am indeed still happy I spent the $$ and converted the face, I enjoy the better looking less bubbly front end. Also just crossed 250,000 miles and hope to drive it another 100k at least!

Nice work. If anyone is piecing this together and looking for a crash bar I have one in the classifieds that I took off when installing my bumper. See link in my signature.

It's a bit pricey but man, the truck looks new after it's finished.

Yeah even working for Toyota, it’s not much cheaper than the prices on the eBay links. I priced it all out right after I saw your post lol. I’ll be getting some paint quotes tomorrow from a few places we do wholesale business with

Hope you can find yourself some deals! I am curious what the 100% OEM route would've cost me, I didn't even try, though I work for Hendrick and could've gotten employee pricing I already know it would have still been a lot more costly. In the end including paint I would say I was around $1500

I hate I didnt do this. Ive replaced the majority of those parts excluding some of the hardware. For an extra couple hundred (If that) I could have done the swap.

Haha I drove my truck a while just like that and really enjoyed it. For myself personally it was something that was worth changing for me. But they’re really not bad looking trucks either way.

To get the headlights to fit, you only have to purchase the headlights and the grill right? Or do you have to replace the hood and everything else as well?

Also.. your build looks super clean!

Thanks man! Yes you will also need the hood to get the headlights to fit, there are different body lines on the 12-15 hoods. Also you will probably want all the upper metal bumper brackets, hood latch support, hood latch, and the headlight plastic filler pieces that go right under the headlight and 2x headlight mount tabs listed above. Hope your conversion goes well, post pics!

Also if you plan on trying to fit your 05-11 front bumper to a set of 11-15 headlights and grille I don't think they'll line up. It's pretty much all or nothing sadly.
