She paid for the blank AND custom paint. About $1500. She came with her own money, smart AND beautiful!

It has a fold out table, then you use it to help fill in the setting area for a full size queen bed. It works well, just always have to set it back up for the day. That's a real nice little trailer you have also.

Thanks! Its still a work in progress.

    Need to...
    • get better suspension so it doesnt bounce so much
    • add trailer brakes because its getting heavy and i can notice the weight when braking
    • build interior/ rear hatch cabinets
    • install interior panels
    • install new exterior aluminum panels on the sides and rear hatch (already did the roof)
    • and would like to buy a new door
Started out like this.... the tires were not rated to go over 55mph!

What is its total weight? I am planning a trailer build and am debating between a 2k break-less axle and a 3500 electric break axle. The only thing I have pulled in my taco thus far is an empty utility trailer. I am use to quad cab long bed diesels which are a bit tougher to toss around when braking. :D

Oil change and service today, and the dealer is "recommending" that sometime soon I get the coolant and thermostat changed and new plugs, and drive belt, since the truck has 167K on it.
    What do you think?
P.S. Saw a new TRD Pro in Black at the dealer. Nice, but WOW, lotsa $$$$, including a $2000 upcharge! For 50K I'd rather have a Nightshade 4-Runner in Black, but that' just me...

If you look you could find a dealer that’ll let one go for invoice or back of invoice at the right time of the month.

I really need to figure out how to access the service history of the truck because I'm SURE that I've had some of that done already, like a new drive belt. Also had the transmission fluid changed, but can't remember if I've done the others...

Actually, I found the Toyota owners page with the service history on it. It's had both the plugs and coolant changed, so I'm good!

The original trailer was ~750 empty, but i have added some steel to the frame and heavier tires so im not sure what it is now. By the time i get the cooler loaded and all my gear in there the tongue weight is pretty heavy. I can still lift it and move it by hand in short distances. When i first got the trailer i man handled the shit out of it! Just grabbed the tongue and walked it where ever i needed to.

I bought a custom length 3500lb axle for mine, i dont think it will ever be that heavy but the axle without brake hubs was ~$130. But now i wish i would have got the brakes. They come in handy when you are going down hills for sure!

It's not really a LOL situation, since those services were recommended based strictly on Mileage, and I had them originally done where I bought the truck which was not my local dealer at the time. And I know the belt is less then 5 years old, since I HAVE had that replaced when the original came apart at about 125K...

One of the things I said to the girl that hit me was "yelp I was wanting a new bumper"

I didn't post the picture but the Nissan's drivers side trunk lid is crumbled up about 1.5 inches, You are right it's 95% cosmetic damage on the Tacoma, with the stock skid plate bent slightly. It did it's job.
