As long as you ain’t getting massive amounts of resistance, or odd metallic tapping noises you should be good

No metallic noises of any kind and it turns over like an engine with compression. At no point does it become a massive struggle like things are contacting each other though

You should be golden! It’s always nerve racking when you go
    To first start the engine.

Tundra has play in the driver side tie
    Rod.... to replace tie rod
Or just replace the rack... that’s the question, 190k isn’t bad for a rack.

This Tundra (and your truck) is eventually going to end up as an excellent example of the Ship of Theseus paradox.

If you replace the blade on your Grandfather's axe, and then the handle itself, is it still the same axe?

The inners are like 150-200 a piece. Only reason I consider a rack. Damn things are expensive

And I won’t use aftermarket inners. Outer are fine. Never had luck with aftermarket inners

Moog inners should be fine. Never again will I buy OE inners from Toyota, they want way too much for them and I am typically one who always buys OE when it comes to steering components.

@Empty_Lord Just because my roommates car never asks for anything maintenance wise, we decided some preventative would be a good idea. And we're gonna do timing belt, since that's a couple thousand overdue, water pump, tensioners. But today we did plugs and wires because it's easy. He didn't know if the plugs had ever been done since his dad never kept record. Found out it had double platinums and I think they had been in there since new (has 189k).

    0306191734.jpg

I put in Denso double plats since that's what I could get my hands on in the right hear range. But damn, I can't believe it wasn't misfiring. That gap was greater than .100.

Oh also he said he wanted some rice since we never do anything to his car (it's always mine that get worked on). So I shot his engine cover with some primo rice in a can...

Lol I did a 5vz with 290k on it. Pulled the plugs and was amazed that it had the original plugs. No misfire. Lol ngk on one side Denso on the other

I've had good luck with 555 inners, but if you can get OE at a good price then go for that.

I’m going to see what they want. I’m
Going to pull the boots and make sure the rack isn’t leaking. Go from there. As it is it’s getting. Ew ball joints and a control arm

If the rack isn't leaking (only ever encountered one that was on a yota) I'd probably just do inners with the Sankei 555 ones. Especially for a daily. Do the tundras have the same deal for adjusting a sloppy rack guide. Every Tacoma that I've worked on I've had to tighten that and even my Z (same design) needed it.

No sloppy adjustment lol. Toyota’s are famous for racks! I replace Toyota racks all the time. Tundras are victim too. The tacos not as much. New tacos yes
