    Moving back to North Carolina in May. It has been a while, what are the current rules on state inspections? I have a slightly modified 2nd GEN. I remember when I left there were only three counties that were online with the DMV. I’m sure that has changed. I am supercharged but still stock exhaust. Removing the front cats soon with URD long tubes and the rear cats once my JFR y-pipe is complete. Tires have a slight poke of about 1” outside fender flare. I will be working in Raleigh. Not sure on residence location yet but I’m sure those surrounding counties are similar.

    Ok, so just did some more digging. @Dangerdave thanks for the help but it appears you live in an exempt county. Wake county is still 1 of the 22 that require emissions inspections of you fall outside of the three most recent model years. They just removed 28 counties from the list in 2018 but 22 still remain of the 100 counties. I am pretty sure that with only a cat back exhaust odds may not be good on passing emissions. I will have to do more digging once I get into town.
