    Cool stuff
Your paying 5k for more "articulation" which is more usable in real world driving both off-road and on-road

So I am pretty sure I've read this many times, but just looking for this specifically. Did you guys with the 700lb coils get any settling and if so how much?I have the ext 2.5.

    @paleh0rse
Nice call DB. Actually had a great convo with paleh0rse this afternoon and directed him to @Plastics Guy website for his duro bumps. Since he will be running option 2 on the RXTs eventually. Use the 4 1/4" rear bump and get the fronts while he's at it. Say hello to my other Lillington, NC brother for me.

It's just a mental thing after only dealing with Jeep lifts for 25 years. I definitely know what I'm getting with Kings that goes well beyond the lift height.

I'm planning to order a full set from toyotabumpstops.com tomorrow. Got some fantastic advice from @state48overland today on exactly that subject!

I don't know much about the bumpstops. I have a full set of extended travel kings coming in, and sumo springs in my back end. Should I replace with one of these bumpstop options? I was looking at toyotabumpstops.com as it was posted above, and there are multiple height options of which I have no clue.

Ok guys, now is the time to get some help bc install is pretty straightforward. Everything is on and it's back on the road, however the are some things I did not expect that I think are just adjustable and fixable things. I hope so at least, any feedback is greatly appreciated.I did use the 6 and 9 threads showing that a helping member said he used, i'm not sure this is where mine will stay or even needs to be but it doesn't seem to be causing any major problems or angles but again I'm here because I feel it should be a smoother ride and maybe that's not the setting I need to be at When I received them they were present and showing maybe 2-3 threads out of the box. This setting has put my truck at almost level if not actually level, and keep in mind I have ome hd full leaf pack and king 2.5 ext with 1 Inch longer rod end on rear.So here's what I'm dealing with.Overall it does seem like these things are insanely smooth,I test drove it down a damn rough road and o couldn't have asked for better comfort there. Problems are.....

First of all I am obviously terribly out of alignment, I gave a pretty hard pull to the driver side, my mechanic says its nothing more than alignment and that will be fixed 100%.He said that on his drive pre install to get a feel for comparison after that he could tell it was never aligned correct and had a pull to the left already just not near as bad.I never really put thought into it but now unseen that being out of alignment can surely affect ride quality and I'm hoping things smooth out once straight.

Secondly,I am having some serious rubbing right at the inner fender corner and on the cab mount corner, its obvious I'll have to get a Cmc sooner than later, however my mechanic actually said that because of where the uca sets further back after install that alignment will move it back forward and the major rubbing into the frame corner should go away even before the Cmc.

Last but not least for sure this morning I noticed a slight vibration/shaking in the front end when breaking from a higher speed, i'm talking from like 40-45 and breaking enough to slow down and make a turn onto another road.Is there an issue to be causing this?Is this also something that alignment can affect?Like I said I'm just trying to get some advice so I dont waste time and money I dont have at this point.

Third and the unknown for me,I've got some noises happening. It doesn't sound like anything major or like a mechanical malfunction or problem but they weren't there before or at least nit as noticeable. When driving at almost all times there is almost a light rumble happening, it actually has a similarity to what a chunky off road tire would sound/feel like,I think it gets better at higher speeds but I haven't really pushed the needle yet as I want everything perfect and aligned before I really stomp the skinny. When I slow down there does seem to be an area of a different sound happening, I believe its about 20-35ish but i honestly haven't drive but maybe 20 miles total since install.

Again, overall I think we are close to where we need to be but its not perfect and at the cost I've paid I want perfect or as close as we can get, but I definitely don't want new issues.I plan to have the Ecgs bushing put in later this month when they have the truck and I already have the ome fk29 carrier bearing drop kit on the truck. Did you guys have any settling with the truck front and at what point did it seem to happen?Did anything change or get better/worse after more miles?I am set to get alignment Saturday but I also don't want to get it set up if things will have to be changed, I really don't want to get multiple alignments and pay each time. Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated. I'm not quite sure how much lift I achieved honestly, and the inside bottom of my front tires are kicked in.

This is from Toyotabumpstops.com "In another industry first, we offer 3 different size rubber DuroBump to accommodate anything from stock trucks with our 3.5″ version, a 4.25″ version for lifts of 2″+ (which is the most commonly used) and a 5.25″ version used for custom applications and all you wild builders looking for something a bit taller."

Holey Crap! Your UCAs are installed on oposide sides!:eek::eek:

    Just kidding! :p
A lot of your new found noises and some rubbing (those are 32" tires, right?) will go away with an alignment .
If there will be something left over, deal with it after the alignment. One thing at the time:thumbsup:
After that , if there is some vibration present in 2wd but gone in 4wd, ECGS bushing will fix that

Hi guys, Kings newbie here. I was wondering if yall could direct me to what setup I would use if I wanted a King, remote reservoir, 3-4 inch lift. Can I use my OME coils? Do Kings have their own proprietary coil? Would the lift on the back be dependent on the leafs and not the shocks? I know there are some that are adjustable, would they adjust up to the 3-4 inches comfortably, or is 3 the max?

Definitely get rid of the sumos unless your purpose is solely for towing sag. It’ll be stiff when it contacts so ride quality will be different. I purchased the sumos awhile back and returned them and now opted to get the Timbrens and literally just installed them. Put them to the test and each contact is pretty smooth. If you go this route make sure you get the Active off road version and not SES. SES is for towing sag just like sumos. Also a good time to do u bolt flip with their kit. They sell spacers for larger lifts too but I’m only at 1.5” in the rear so it makes perfect contact at the height it come with. Going to be installing Wheelers front bump stops next.

We had 1/8" settling after about a week of driving.
Granted we have more weight up front than you. You should do a pre alignment and post alignment center hub to bottom fender measurement. Up front you should target 22.75-23 so the rake isn't so bad with the OME pack in the rear. 700's are firm. OME leaf packs will sit where they sit. They are firm too. Some folks get driveline vibrations still even after doing the center carrier bearing spacer drop. Some guys need 2.5 - 3 degree axle shims to counter act bad driveline angles. Sometimes these don't get rid of the driveline vibes.

Heres a copy of alignment specs that worked for @Steve565 who runs 700's / Kings on 33" tires. No rub at this time. Toe and camber specs are what they are (factory) hopefully you have a knowledgeable tech that knows how to adjust your UCAs . Achieving positive caster of 3.5 to 3.8 is very ideal given your lift. Most of the time at 40mph on a straight road your can put the vehicle in 4wd once you feel the vibration act up, if the vibes go away, might be pointing to needle bearing issues...that's if these vibes still exist at 40mph after axle shim correction and alignment.

King recommends 2.5" max lift...but you can get close to 3" most of the time without issue
Front shocks come with Eibach coilover springs, 600, 650 or 700lb rates, your choice
Rear lift height is determined by the leaf pack you go with. The rear shocks are there to counter act/absorb compression and rebound, just make sure they are long enough to accommodate the rear lift specs and that your bump stops are upgraded to cover the extra distance between axle and frame so you don't risk shocks bottoming out

Would adding a spacer be ok with these? or would that just screw everything up?

Don't use spacers for shocks or the leaf pack. Correct it will screw things up...

Which model of King shocks should I get? Ive seen some that didnt have the reservoir. I want the reservoir, IDK if its better or even remotely close to necessary for what I do but they have the cool looking reservoir.

All Kings come with resis front and rear. You decide if you want compression adjusters or not(cost more for them 'A')
    25001-119 or -119A fronts
    25001-121 or -121A rears

Well-threads are meant to educate. These dials control soft or firmness of the shocks to an extent. Compression dampening controls.
