    Like josh said sugar maples
technically you can use any maple you just need more sap because the sugar content isn’t as high as sugar maples. Some people I know even use sycamores and black walnut trees

Yea sugar maples it’s 40:1 so 40 gallons of sap makes one gallon of syrup. Other varieties of maple are 80:1 and they all have a slightly different taste

Could probably do a couple taps on each of those trees in the spring. They grow hella fast around here!!

Technically they are all too small to tap more then once but I know people who have done multiples on small trees and had no ill effects. For now single taps are fine since I can barely keep up with it. Next year I’m getting food grade 5 gallon buckets with lids so I’ll hbw a lot more storage

Got a welder? Break the other bolts off then separate the 2 halves. After that weld a nut to the broken bolt stub and remove. The heat should be enough to loosen it, if its not drill a hole through the broken bolt then weld another nut on and try again. This method never fails me
