Looking to meet up with someone from the overland bound forum for some light wheeling Saturday morning around the Springfield area. Anyone interested in joining? Ideally would like to have more than the two rigs currently planned. Should be fairly tame.

Hey, forgot to update you on the playoffs last week. We got SMOKED 5 - 0. Had an awful game and 3 own goals by 3 different people.

 

Disfucking like. WTF! That sucks man. And worst of all, the own goals. I HATE THOSE!

My playoff game is tonight... At 10:30 though. FAK!

 

'freaking alarm clock. Need to replace it with automatic coffee maker. .. or stop working days.

And yeah... it sucks. We had an 11pm game this session already, which sucked even more because none of the games ever start non time, so by the time I left it was about 12:15, about 12:30 by the time I got home, about 1am by the time I fell asleep, to wake up at 5:15. Let's just say that the day after the game was BRUTAL.

We're playing vs the guy who organizes the league... originally we were supposed to play at 9:30 when the schedule was put out at the beginning of the session (based on playoff see number), but we all think that the guy switched it up because he probably couldn't get all of his players to play. And by making it later, he made sure he has his full squad.

Oh well!

 

I get you guys love soccer, and its also a good thing to do to keep in shape etc...

but holy shit. What is with these late start times? You are mostly all married and probably at least half have kids and all must have jobs in the morning. Why don't you guys play early on the weekends or at like 7pm? Are the fields booked that heavily?

Also if a lot of people in here are deep into craft beer I might be able to set up a TW meet/gathering at Black Hog in Oxford sometime over the summer or fall...

 

LOL! In my case it's just because of the league that I play in, and how the guy runs it/sets it up. And I'm sure field availability has something to do with it as well. But all good, no biggie. The Mrs and I have the routine down pat already, so no worries.

I'd be down! I've heard that place is great. My buddy has gotten stuff from there before.

 

They're great, I'm friends with them so maybe we can set up a TacomaWorld meetup there. Anyone else interested?

 

That's why I stopped playing. Given that everybody has jobs, typically the earliest games would start at 7:30. Any earlier, and people couldn't get out of work, eat, etc. Given they play 4-5 games/night/field, games start every hour after that. Sometimes, you just get the short end of the stick

 

That’s what I was initally told but it’s actually closer to Sturbridge mass. Your more than welcome to come but I’d say that might be the cap for rigs for this one. I dont want to see the trails getting wrecked.

Planning on meeting around 10 am and having lunch on the trails. I was told about 2 hours worth of trails, pretty tame stuff.

I wasn’t expecting this many responses. We should really get a date together to hit up the trails by the RI border based on everyone itching to get out.
