Yes, place the clip on the other end, keys would dangle in the pocket. I like it!

Yes, I would change it for deep carry. I personally prefer the buttons pointing out so you can click them through your pants pocket. You would be able to feel the buttons through most pants material and know lock is down, unlock next, panic at top of the clip.

Might consider just a single clip from one side so it doesn't get in the way of the buttons. Sorry for the crude CAD work, threw this together to get the idea across. Included pics of my Kershaw pocket knife for reference. This clip is perfect, small and discreet. The clip on the knife is simpler and screws in from the right side of the photo instead of wrapping around. I figured wrap around could possibly leverage the existing screws on your fob design.

True, been thinking about how that might go.

Just found this as an alternative that I'll probably buy on my own. Use a product like this instead of a fob mounted clip. Simpler add on for end user (and MESO to keep it simple) and it keeps the fob deeper in the pocket so if it came unclipped then it would likely just fall into your pocket.

Now throw the internals of a Tile in there and add a solar panel so we never have to charge it and ship it already!

I actually had a tile integrated in one of my first designs... but the thing is so bulky. If I took it apart the PCB isn’t that large and I could squeeze it in.. but then comes the problem with sourcing tile internals only.

Did you look at their super flat one? The Tile Slim. It's super thin but larger than a standard Tile.
Issue would remain with sourcing internals...

I love this knife. Not the lightest out there but a good size and the clip works for me. This is an Amplitude 3.25. They make a smaller version too. I bought this color combo from Walmart.com, the Kershaw link below is a black washed finish.

The walmart version may be cheaper, I usually lose a knife every 1-2 years so I like keeping the cost down.

Someone enlighten me. What the hell is "deep-carry" and why do I need it?

Its clip limitation is higher. Meso currently has it so the last 1/4 of the clip is flat against the device. The deep carry would open the space up to push further down into your pocket. With the device further down in your pocket or at least clipped to the maximum edge of the device, the less chances there are of it fall off/out.

The problem with the clip going higher is it would possible interfere with the bottle opener..

Could you make the bottle opener at the other end of the device?

And you have to replace a tile every year. So that might be tricky.
deep carry is when the clip is in such a way that the whole object goes below the pocket line.

Negative. It uses the 2 screws to anchor it down. The top is just a plastic slap clip and not enough meat for an opener.

edit.. here's a better idea to show you the space constraints

    Screen Shot 2019-03-07 at 8.44.47 AM.jpg

I've also added a "locating nub" in the dead spot between the panic and unlock. This will be useful when reaching in your pocket and quickly locating the fob orientation. Plus it fills the empty void and reinforces the face.
